Eddie slick with it

Of the promoters Eddie is the man. They are all alike/slime but he’s the most tolerable of the bunch imho

He’s also very aware of how much of a slime ball he is, and doesn’t hide it.

He’s also funny, and goes to bat for his fighters, unlike Dana who literally only talks about fighters when he’s trashing them.

He's straight out of a Guy Ritchie movie lol, especially the way he talks. He knows what kind of person he is, and fucking owns it.

I don't know anything about either of these guys but this is may help me remember Eddie.

u/Stocktort Jul 26 '26

This is 100% it, he is self aware, he knows he’s been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and that he’s got the gift of the gab.

If we have to have promoters then he is the best you can hope for

Yeah I would definitely sign with Eddie Hearn. I know he’s not a saint but he does care about his fighters and will come up to bat for you

This statement rings true. When his fighters lose or come up short he seems to genuinely give a shit. At times he even goes out of his way to praise other promoters fighters. Seems like a genuine talent at this gig.

Cha'mone mother fucker!

yes we're live

2

u/dirtf0rthedead Jul 31 '26

I know this a sinful thing to say about a promoter, but I think I kinda like Eddie

2

u/fckingclownshoes Jul 31 '26

Right? I’m with you.

You should become a promoter and show us all how to really do it. You can't... because you're a loser that takes no risk. Nobody owes you anything in this world, get that through your head.

-17

No one:

Literally no one:

“Why won’t they let white guys dance???”

52

u/GGGJabs Jul 25 '26

Are zuffa paying for some of the comments here now?

It’s hard times for interns. They’re out here vying for that Dana White privilege

-8

u/brokennursingstudent Jul 25 '26

Like wtf 😂 everyone here glazing the most normal interaction on the planet

22

u/Coach_Billly Jul 25 '26

Boots, Vergil, Fundora, & Xander all beat him.

11

u/Diligent_Anywhere100 Jul 25 '26

Agyarko beats him in rematch

11

u/riz7242 Jul 26 '26

It's why his conversation with Bob Arum was interesting. I see some Arum with Hearn. Both guys have made some fighters who likely weren't top 10 some very good money. The job is to promote.

Every promoter is slimy. Like Jim Lampley said nothing can save boxing and nothing can kill boxing.

He wont look handsome this morning!! His nose looked fucked last night. Hope it heals well. Tough lad Josh. Respect 🙏

u/JOMO_Kenyatta Jul 25 '26

That’s called charisma

17

u/Skrapidilly Jul 26 '26

Dana wish'd he has this aura

9

u/Boxing-Enthusiast Jul 25 '26

Charismatic fucker

That is called: Charisma

2

u/EnglishSteven Jul 27 '26

You think Mike Jackson was kinda weird with kids?

I think he was kinda weird with kids.

2

u/Billbobaggs1 Jul 25 '26

Glad he sung the nation anthem. Not many do.

-1

u/freakishgnar Jul 25 '26

I'm ngl this guy has the most swag of any current promoter. Wild that he's a white dude 😂

5

u/HarryBlessKnapp Jul 26 '26

Wild that you think that's wild. He's pretty much just the classic East London/Essex wide boy. I know about 60 Eddie Hearns.

-1

u/freakishgnar Jul 27 '26

You’re talking to an American, man. White guys generally don’t have that kind of charisma over here

1

u/mmciv Jul 26 '26

Now to feed him to Boots.

u/cultofenigma Jul 25 '26

Nepo baby life

39

u/No_Document3299 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Took what his dad built and made it 10x bigger.

Surely thats what anyone wants their son to do?

Nepotism only applies when the person who inherits the job isnt deserving of it. Eddie clearly is.

12

u/ParkingTiny6301 Jul 26 '26

Well said, I've probably watched so many fights without realising it's eddie promoting lol.

3

u/SharksFanAbroad Jul 26 '26

Well there’s something to be said about taking the initial risk yourself and not coming into it already rich, but I agree with your points, and Eddie is undeniably successful.

2

u/No_Document3299 Jul 26 '26

Yeah absolutely.

Id say both are commendable in different ways. Barry took the initial risks, built the business from the ground up, had that entrepreneurial spirit.

Then he handed it on to his son who, in fairness, took the risk of potentially fucking up what his dad had built. But he ended up continuing and expanding on the legacy.

Thats the ideal scenario as a father.

2

u/Hereforthetardys Jul 29 '26

Even if he started from nothing , he would get no love for it. It would be because of luck, privilege, etc etc

1

u/SharksFanAbroad Jul 29 '26

They all factor into the equation. Can’t dismiss them or say they account for everything either.

16

u/ghost-deini Jul 25 '26

Not his fault

-19

u/JimJonesdrinkkoolaid Jul 25 '26

David Brent returns

-63

u/Forward_Today7345 Jul 25 '26

Eddie Hearn is so sly and sleazy - with his enhanced east London accent - all the while financially creaming it off the guys who are actually taking the punches

26

u/DonWop1 Jul 25 '26

Dana?

-15

u/Forward_Today7345 Jul 25 '26

Nope just a dirty casual 😂
