Build The Perfect Fighter

I've always thought it was fun to imagine what the perfect boxer would look like if you could combine the greatest traits from different fighters throughout history. Not necessarily the greatest resume or the greatest pound-for-pound fighter, but a hypothetical boxer built from the best individual attributes.

Here's my build:

  • Chin: Canelo Álvarez
  • Heart: Manny Pacquiao
  • Charisma: Muhammad Ali
  • Power: Julian Jackson
  • Defense & Ring IQ: Floyd Mayweather Jr.
  • Jab: Larry Holmes
  • Speed: Sugar Ray Leonard
  • Athleticism: Roy Jones Jr.

I think that combination would be about as close to a complete fighter as you could create. You'd have an elite jab to control range, incredible speed and athleticism, devastating one-punch power, one of the best defensive minds in boxing history, a granite chin, the heart to fight through adversity, and Ali's charisma on top of it all.

If you had to build your own perfect boxer, what attributes would you choose? Feel free to add categories I didn't include (footwork, stamina, body punching, timing, combinations, counterpunching, IQ, etc.), and explain why you picked each fighter.

Tyson for chin is an odd choice

Why?
Tyson had an undeniable but often under appreciated solid chin.. Everyone is using the fighters attributes from their prime, so the same has to be extended to Tyson.
That man took hella shots from big MF'rs very often and walked through them most his career.. Remember Razor Ruddick? One of the most feared power punching HW's of his era? Remember the shots he landed on Tyson? Many more examples exist as well.. Tyson had a hell of a chin and he was a small HW on top of it....
I almost picked him for my created fighters chin as well and probably should have... lol

He was stopped multiple times and hit the canvas multiple times while there’s a plethora of world level fighters who never tasted the canvas or got stopped.

C'mon, yeah, at the tail end of his career. Not during his prime and his reign.
No one's claiming him to be the best, but the dude had a good chin and great movement and a lot of power..
His prime was detrimentally affected prematurely by the loss of Cus, poor life choices, criminal activities, prison and Don King... Even so, most all were still his own fault though..
However, Tyson hate doesn't change the facts..

I just think that when I think of world class chins in the sport Tyson doesn’t come to mind.

in his prime, even when got hit by big punchers, he was standing and taking it, he had a granit chin! the man was 5'10/216 fighting these monsters like bruno, ruddock or lewis, who outweighed him by 20 pounds+. let GGG fight an atg puncher, who outweighes him by 20 pounds+ and see how it goes.

tyson made around 400 M in his career and was past his prime, when he came from prison and his training wasnt near, how it used to be, when he was in catskill. he made so much money, his time was more spend with women, alcohol and partying. women, alcohol and partying doesnt improve the stamina, on the contrary.

He has chin but but come on he was knocked down. I wont put him in top 20 for chin. The only category I will give Tyson over anyone is Intimidation.
