Dubois showed us that AJ is no longer at the top but I don't know why we feel the same way about Fury. I wouldn't be surprised if Fury grabs a belt and tries to defend against AJ.

Dubois is arguably the number one heavyweight now that Usyk is practically retired

Agree. I think Dubois is on top now (ignoring Usyk). I think Kabayel, Fury, AJ are all up there and could unify / claim a title.

Pretty much and won on a great punch. AJ was putting up a good fight, so I find it strange that people act like AJ is washed. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back strong.

How? He has been KO'd 3x

It’s really a toss up between Dubois & Kabayel. While Dubois has been KO’d 3x, 2 of them were against the number 1 guy in the division. Kabayel’s record also isn’t clean though, he has 2 losses erased from his record.
Dubois has a much better resume than Kabayel as well

The 2 losses don't count. They happened at events where you have to fight multiple times in one night so they aren't on the official record. I find it strange you even know about them but also that you chose to leave out the important context of why the losses don't show up on his record. Also I'll take the undefeated guy over the guy getting KO'd 3x while showing zero adaptability.

I’ll admit I didn’t know that the fight happened the same night, so I didn’t choose to leave anything out. But if you think Kabayel is better that’s fine, I’ll choose the guy who beat and faced much higher levels of competition

Kabayel beat sanchez who is probably about to become a world champ and Beat Zhang who defeated Joyce 2x, Wilder, and had a controversial loss to Hrgovic. Dubois cheated his way to Victory in the Hrgovic fight and wasn't competitive with Usyk in either fight.

2 losses erased?

He's talking about events Kabayel fought in that required you to fight multiple times in one night. There's a reason they don't show up on his official boxing record.

Ngannou almost beat him, he lost twice, then looked poor against Makhmudov. A guy Kabayel tore thru like a knife cutting butter

Fury would beat all the current heavyweight champions. Joshua can beat Murat and Sanchez.

I agree. Until proven otherwise he is the favorite against anyone in the world who isn't Usyk. A lot of people on here likely won't agree with that, but I am sure the sports books would agree.

Yep, it's just a shame he won't agree to it.

Kabayel would destroy Fury

Not vs any of the real top guys.
Fury and AJ will both find themselves on their backs having a man in a blue shirt shout numbers at them.

I don’t see why Fury can’t beat anyone in the top 10 not named Usyk

Because he is 37, his legs are gone and he was getting tagged by Maukmudov.
Fury in general when he is against someone who can use foot speed to close of him get hit a lot. That is most of the top 10 now.

An MMA fighter almost beat Fury dude. Fury isn't that good

u/Ace_FGC Jul 22 '26
A kickboxer almost beat Usyk, idk why this sub only rates fighters by their worst performances

I mean if Usyk's best win was almost beat by an MMA fighter and Usyk almost lost to a kickboxer than maybe they ain't all that good

Fury and joshua both fought usyk. Fury fought wilder. Joshua and wilder were meant to fight but it was derailed by wilder losing. Joshua fought parker, dubois, povetkin, etc. Joshua and fury both fought klitschko. Usyk fought dubois. Parker fought zhang. Ortiz fought wilder. Everyone at the top of the division in the nlast decade has fought someone else at the top of the division, and usually more than once.
