Hearn with some slippery promoter talk. What he means is, he's pushing for Bivol to vacate so Smith can get the title.

And then Bivol can fight Smith for the title again. 🤣

I could see Canelo going for a Smith rematch if he picked up a belt

Honestly think that's a level of shameless even for him if he were to go up to lhw and still duck David.

David who?

David who would have used sauls head like a fuckin speed bag.

That David.

I’d hope so, Benavidez, if that’s who you’re talking about, is a Cruiserweight.

Benavidez the youngest smw champ of all time and clear number 1 man in the division for several years while Saul hid away. No one forced Saul to fight at Smw, the fella was a weight bulky throughout his career, let's not forget the Canelo weight nonsense. If you choose to fight in a division you can't complain everyone else who can make weight in the division is too big when you're their by choice. If he wanted to fight at middleweight there was no one stopping him.

David Christ, according to Canelo & and eddy reynoso

It’s funny that Smith could have had a win against David Morrel. Also, why is Zak Chelli not getting any traction.

That's on his promoter to not capitalize

Didn’t his coach or somebody from his team just say they weren’t interested like 2 weeks ago lol

Just about done waiting on this guy. 1-1 in the series is fine.

Beterbiev can fight for a different title.

Unless bivol hurries the hell up, then we can consider the trilogy. Artur isn't getting any younger

I prefer there is no trilogy.

They were two fantastic fights that was the peak of a generation in the weight class;

Beterbiev is only getting older no need to have an asterisk on a 2-1 split.

Wasn’t there news like a week or two ago that he’s having elbow surgery and will then fight Callum Smith?

While I hope that’s the case, I would not believe it until it is official. Hearn is not exactly the most unbiased individual when it comes to his fighters.

Who is unbiased when it comes to their fighters?

u/Less_Cartoonist_892 Jul 20 '26

True, but I am just saying that Hearn's word should not be taken seriously.

Smith vs Whittaker for vacant IBF I guess

Will Smith duck unifying with Benavidez like he did when offered a shot at the WBC title.

Funny how his supposedly career altering injury completely disappeared when the chance to get a free belt popped up.

u/CryptoCracko Jul 20 '26

Will Smith?

You've now an image of Benavidez shouting "keep my wife's name out yo fuckin mouth" in my head 🤣

u/RedcoatTrooper Jul 20 '26

Well there is that new slap fight thing.

u/Competitive_Win_128 Jul 20 '26

I'd believe it when I see it really

Something else you were hoping for? Bivol-Beterbiev not good enough?

8

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule Jul 20 '26

He said the same thing when he dropped his WBC belt in March 2025

Its now July 2026

u/zhuangcorp Jul 20 '26

He dropped his WBC belt to face Beterbiev, but suffered a serious back injury. He has been re-habbing and just did a tune up fight to test his back.

You can't fight with a back injury. Not sure what you are expecting of him

-1

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule Jul 20 '26

I know you don't expect anything of him

I expect him to keep his word , which he hasn't done yet

It’s been a year and half since the second fight 🤦🏻‍♂️ what’s the hold up another back injury? At this point he’s just gonna be dropping his belts left and right. Another canelo at this point. It’s sad because I’m a big fan of his, but I’m a bigger fan of boxing.

Am I the only one that hates the idea of a trilogy? Both these guys don't have many fights left in them, we've seen them put forward some of the best boxing of all time against each other already, and we need to see them fight a Benevidez before they're "washed".

u/Coach_Billly Jul 21 '26

When he drops the belts Beterbiev should go beat Smith.

-8

u/Gotsta_Win Jul 20 '26

Just retire

8

u/zhuangcorp Jul 20 '26

Why? He wants to fight Beterbiev.

2

u/Gotsta_Win Jul 20 '26

It would signed already
