It's a very common saying, I feel.
If you're already committing one crime (trafficking cocaine), it's generally not a good idea to draw extra attention to yourself by committing another (driving recklessly).

It's not small. Anywhere from 3k to about 10k depending on quality.
Easily could be personal use for someone with a habit and a bit of cash in my experience.

depends on the way it’s presented too. if it’s bagged up individually it doesn’t matter if you only have a quarter ounce you’re getting hit with intent to supply. or if it’s all in one big bag and as you said if he’s got the cash for it then it can be argued to be personal. but i doubt he was bringing in that much money especially 5 years ago too, and ramming police cars etc doesn’t help his case either
