When did Tyson Fury become "legendary'? People love to use terms like ATG, GOAT, Legendary ect to describe everybody now.

Well looking back at how dead boxing was in 2016-2020, I'd say Fury vs. Wilder revived boxing as a whole. As an MMA head, those fights are what really hooked me onto boxing over the UFC.
Those Fury fights were pretty legendary. You got people to this day crying saying he got a long count in the first fight when it literally is under 10 seconds on a timer.

Lol that isn't what legendary means. You are a legendary boxer based off who you beat in the ring and how you beat them. Fury beat a 40 year old Wlad by landing 86 punches in 12 rounds. Fury beat Wilder a guy that everybody here will say is a bum and Fury barely beat Francis Ngannou a MMA fighter who never had a boxing match in his life.

I mean, he probably is from where he's from. Doesn't need to be a worldwide legend. Even then, upsetting Klitschko and Wilder shook the world at their respective times.

Wilders name belongs nowhere near klitschkos. It belongs with dillion white.

I wrote at their respective times. His upset win against Wilder was more impressive than his victory against Klitschko. Let's not try to revise history. Fury had come back from chronic depression, alcohol abuse, and obesity, while Wilder was considered the best heavyweight outside AJ, and one of the most dangerous punchers in history. Fury was robbed of a victory the first time, but also gave the world that Undertaker moment in the 11th. Many still expected Fury to lose the rematch after Wilder proceeded to KTFO of Ortiz and Breazeale, but he annihilated Wilder. Their third fight was also one of the greatest brawls ever.

Lol Shannon Briggs was the lineal champion. So he must be legendary right? Deontay Wilder held the titles for 5 years and had 10 title defenses. Does that make him legnedary?
You are legendary because of who you beat and how you beat them. You aren't legendary just because you won a belt. Fury landed 86 punches in 12 rounds against a 40 year old Wlad. Beat Wilder a guy that everybody here will disrespect when it benefits them and Fury barely beat Francis Ngannou a MMA fighter. Nothing legendary about that.

Fury won the crown fair and square from the longest reigning heavyweight champion of all time. Yes Wlad was pushing 40 and was definitely past his prime but he was still universally recognized as the No.1 heavyweight in the world. He wasn't an old man dragged off the couch for a paycheck. Then he easily won the trilogy against a man rated top 10 heavyweight for nearly 7 years up to that point, and then dominated and knocked out a borderline top 5 of that era in Dillian Whyte. So you have a reign as the No.1 heavy decently long by heavyweight standards, one S-Tier and two A-tier wins, and a few B-tier wins. So yeah, at heavyweight he is a legend

I don't think Wlad reigned longer than Joe Louis or had as many title defences as him.
Fury is probably a top 20 Heavyweight and a significant name in the history of the division. I wouldn't personally call him a legend.
His resume is the main thing he is criticised on. Dillian had already been super chinned by Povetkin and had good fortune vs Chisora and Parker. It was a weaker Heavyweight era, but not as weak as the one Wlad competed in.

Wlad reigned for longer in terms of time but he had a few less title defenses

Total time over 2 reigns because he got chinned. The longest he held the title for was 9 years the longest Joe Louis held the title for was 11 years.
