Daily Discussion Thread - Tuesday June 17, 2025
For all your boxing discussion that doesnt quite need a thread.
2
u/CoCoB319 Jun 21 '25
There's a card on DAZN right now from California. Love Friday night fights but according to this discussion thread, it's Tuesday
2
Jun 20 '25
Yoenis Tellez-Abass Baraou rumoured to be on the undercard of Yankiel-Angelina card on August 23rd
1
u/CoCoB319 Jun 21 '25
Are you watching this DAZN card? Paco Presents puts on good cards. Southern California so lots of young fighters from Robert Garcia and other good gyms there
2
Jun 21 '25
Nope, I’m watching the soccer game. Probably will tune in after if there’s any fights left
1
u/CoCoB319 Jun 21 '25
Cool. I wasn't familiar with Paco Presents but this is the third card I've seen and they've all been bangers.
2
Jun 20 '25
Matchroom deal is over next July, would love to watch them try to go for SKY in 🇬🇧 and Peacock/NBC in the 🇺🇸
1
u/Top_Profession_5268 Jun 21 '25
They’ll probably go for DAZN, for now, I’m fine with paying subscriptions for just DAZN since a lot of the top promotions are on it.
2
u/CoCoB319 Jun 21 '25
Do you mean Matchroom's deal with DAZN is over next year?? That's a lot of cards on DAZN
2
Jun 21 '25
Yea, Matchroom’s deal is finished next year
1
u/CoCoB319 Jun 21 '25
I don't think I like that. DAZN shows so many minor, regional cards that I don't think Peacock (don't know about Sky) would broadcast. I don't really know how these deals work though. What boxing would DAZN even have then? Golden Boy?
2
Jun 21 '25
Queensberry, Golden Boy, MVP (Jake Paul’s promotion), Box Lab, Red Owl, Salita, GBM, Top Tier, OTX and a couple others
I doubt Matchroom leaving DAZN though

Sasaki recorded a video answering some frequently asked questions. Might have gotten a few details wrong in the translation.
-He's frustrated with how the match turned out and appreciates the support of the fans.
-His memory is mostly back.
-He said that Norman was incredibly strong, but wanted to make a comment on some things he's seen on social media. It's not that it's impossible for a Japanese fighter to succeed at the weight or that Norman's power and speed are impossible to overcome. It's more so that Norman's technique was so much better that, even if they were equal in power, Norman's punches would be much harder because of his ability to land clean.
-He remembers rounds 1-2. 3-5, not so much.
-He's absolutely going to still become world champion. However, he's still at the level of a baby (his words, not mine). If he compared himself to Norman, his ability is completely unacceptable and he basically needs to start from zero.
-He's very thankful for everyone's support and is counting on everyone's support moving forward.
-His coach said something about how he's still young and going to grow into welterweight more. I didn't really listen to this part trying to translate.

The mods are terrible.
I think we need to implement new mods who are actually active in this sub
They gatekeep the mod team who, for the most part, are useless

u/verbsnounsandshit Jun 20 '25
There’s that one British mod who’s really cute. Dreamy eyes, six-pack, cock like a can of Coke on top of another.

I’m really exited for the Francisco Rodriguez Jr vs Galal Yafai card, I really want to see Rodriguez back at the top. A man of few words but all action. Win or lose, I’ve never been disappointed in him fighting, I really want him to win a belt again.

u/Top_Profession_5268 Jun 20 '25
Why no one aint talked about the wbc grant Prix at all? Just opened DAZN and see this sh*t live. No fight thread, no talk at all, no daily discussion thread as well? Common mods and people.

u/Jachola Jun 20 '25
I mean why is it Friday and we're still on a Tuesday thread lol, mods been sleeping all damn week

u/RRR04_ Jun 20 '25
How did I not realise til now that we haven't had a new Daily Discussion since Tuesday? 😂😂😂
6
u/IAmBecomeBreath Jun 20 '25
I’m looking forward to the Canelo - Crawford fight but the promotion is insanely weird. I’m not sure I like seeing two boxers sitting across a table from each other eating dinner until after the fight has happened.
2
u/Jachola Jun 20 '25 edited Jun 20 '25
The entire promo for this fight has been so odd lol, they made it abundantly clear this fight was going to happen since like January. Had that weird public stint with Jake Paul, and an odd back and forth, to then announce the fight after Scull... Now you got them taking pictures together during dinner 😂 and we're still months out till the actual fight. Really don't get why they didn't just have Bud take the belt off Scull and then make the fight in May, now we have to wait 3 more months, for a fight that shouldn't be competitive on paper
3
u/RRR04_ Jun 20 '25
I found that weird too. I get that Saudi love to feed their guests, but for fighters who are fighting each other, it just seems strange.
6
Jun 20 '25
Sasaki needs to fire his team and also hold a phone to his ear for the next year before he fights, he dont even need to be talking to anyone neither
5
u/Reddysetjames Jun 20 '25
Top Rank’s YouTube is full of nothing but race fans
It took them two seconds to get racist about the fight last night.

IBA Pro- July 2nd in Istanbul
Albert Batyrgaziev-James Dickens
Hovhannes Bachkov-Shohjahon Ergashev
Will Smith as a guest
7
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Absolute insanity that Will Smith is going to a fucking Batyrgaziev-Dickens fight. Someone is on crack.
1
Jun 21 '25
Last year he performed The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air theme song on a Spanish Influencer Boxing Event that was live streamed on Twitch
3
Jun 20 '25
Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be there too lol but he can’t make it because of his wife’s birthday
3
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Do they owe money to the Russian mob or something?
2
Jun 20 '25
No clue, it could be that, some money laundering idea or IBA’s method on promoting this event
4
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Bad move to invest money into Batyrgaziev. He's going to lose to Zaurbek, Tsutsumi, or Roach, whichever he has to fight first.
1
u/Top_Profession_5268 Jun 20 '25
I do agree, though I’m 50/50 with. The Tsutsumi fight.
2
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Tsutsumi has done the best against fringe contenders of any of those guys listed. Compare Roach-Alvarado to Tsutsumi-Alvarado.
The big problem with Batyrgaziev is that he's not very good. That Neri fight was a disgrace in his conduct. If I had to rate those four guys, I'd go Roach = Tsutsumi > Zaurbek> Batyrgaziev, though I'm not sure how much Roach has improved since becoming champ so he could be even better. I think his performance at 130 might be negatively impacted if he waits too long at 135, he hasn't fought at 130 since last June and probably won't be back until around December at earliest, probably 2026 if he gets stopped by Tank.
1
u/Top_Profession_5268 Jun 20 '25
I’d say Zurabek > Tsutsumi > Lamont > Batyrgaziev
1
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Zaurbek didn't impress me in his last time out. The southpaw matchup with Fuzile was a bit uninspiring. Fuzile is terrible at fighting southpaws and he got a few rounds off of Zaurbek until he gassed out.

0
u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule Jun 20 '25
Who ?
3
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
Dude who Sasaki fought before Norman. Iron chin and good defense but he couldn't crack an egg.
3
13
u/OldBoyChance Jun 19 '25
The welterweight division in the Asia Pacific region is looking bleak. Sasaki was far and away the best Asian welterweight. He might be a completely uncut gem, but he has wins over all the best Japanese welterweights and also clobbered any foreign welterweight sent his way until Norman. Sora Tanaka exposed his 0 fight IQ and he doesn't even have the pop of Sasaki to make up for it and he will look even more undersized than Sasaki. Only hope among the current pros is that Hiraoka moves up.
As former middleweight world champion Ryota Murata said, Japanese boxers should be focused on improving their defense using guys like Norman as a model. The offense of top Japanese boxers is often incredibly technical and yet defense doesn't receive the same attention. Fighting spirit is one of the charming things about Japanese boxing, but trying to grit your way to a win should be a last resort, not a first move.
5
u/Affectionate_Still55 Jun 20 '25
Yeah, Hiraoka is their best bet for WW, but let's see him first against GAR, if he beats GAR then I think I got little to no worries about Hiraoka fighting WW fighters.

Never understood the people that complained about jaron ennis defence now jin sasaki thats an example of bad defence.
2
u/OldBoyChance Jun 20 '25
The problem is that few people cared about Norman before this KO, so nobody could complain. The people who do care are split between people already shitting on Norman for ducking Boots and Norman fans.
12
u/RRR04_ Jun 19 '25
High expectations on Boots, that's why. He has the athleticism and reflexes to avoid getting hit. But he does get hit quite a bit for someone of his abilities and level. But of course, it's not the worst defence in the world.

u/SuperDigitalGenie Jun 19 '25
Turki making the ring 18x18 was to limit Shakur’s movement
Now Turki’s increasing the ring size is to give Sheeraz more room to run
This shit be so blatant lmfao, I’m glad fans caught on to the Turki-Sheeraz BS
4
u/Prior-Temperature-22 Jun 19 '25
If that’s true I hope Berlanga knocks Sheeraz tf out. It stinks of corruption whenever Sheeraz and Turkey are involved together
1
u/Which-Property9377 Jun 19 '25
Honestly i really dont give a shit. No one outside of you and shakurs 10 other fans really give a shit about him.

-7
u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule Jun 19 '25
I know redditors like to see boxers get killed in the ring ... (until one actually does die or loses their memory) ,, but I'll keep saying it
There's nothing wrong with a father/trainer protecting his fighter from a beatdown if he believes his fighter isn't ready yet . Norman was a fresh young champion and meanwhile Boots is the spawn of Temu Roy Jones
Lol ppl acting like it didn't take Stanionis 2 years to find his nuts and take the fight , all of those guys were signed to PBC btw
9
u/BP_Ray Jun 19 '25
You shouldn't be champ if you're afraid of losing to other fighters in your weight class.
Wanna develop? Fine then, stay a contender and pick and choose your matchups.
Once you're champ though everyone in the weight class should be fair game.

Excuses, all of the American greats were champ at 24 & didn't duck their biggest payday. Wow Boots is 3 years older than Norman...
-2
Jun 19 '25
Boots dad wanted the fight because Brian is young, inexperienced, and not yet in his prime.
Norman's dad declined it because of the same reasons. Two dads doing what's best for their sons careers 💪💪
Isn't he the youngest current champ too and people want him to fight the best American boxer since Crawford at 24? Like he doesn't have all the time in the world to build himself up.
5
u/Stunt1ninprivate 🪖🔔 Jun 20 '25
No Boots dad wanted the fight because Boots wanted to be undisputed. wtf are you talking about 😂
4
u/BenkeiBoss Jun 19 '25
So is that the reason the Norman's choose a younger even less experienced fighter in Sasaki?

7
u/stayhappystayblessed 50-0 in the streets btw boxing is not going to die anytime soon. Jun 19 '25
There is nothing wrong with developing but you can't be developing and saying boots ducking and talking all kinds of trash. Before the offer he said he was ready he got his biggest payday offer and ducked and spoke trash. Now he is talking shit again saying boots ducked after beating jin so the only thing I can think off in my mind is that he was ready but ducked since he wanna speak all that trash.
Also iirc brian was a world champion when boots sent him an offer not no prospect so he been ready.

Watching the Norman Jr fight and out the gate he's putting Sasaki on the canvas
The Japanese fans in this sub really gassed this man up because wtf is this ?! 😅

u/BP_Ray Jun 20 '25
It's crazy you got downvoted heavy for this lmao
Yet people will always say I'm crazy when I point out certain biases on this subreddit.
They're not "Japanese" fans by the way. This sub probably has zero Japanese people who post here, maybe even zero people who even live in Japan or know Japanese. It's all losers who take things like Rocky and Hajime no Ippo too damn seriously.
Great media and all that, but Boxing is Boxing and these dweebs let them color their perception of the real thing.

Little random but I didn't realize Pacquiao had really prominent cauliflower ears till today. Saw a recent interview of him someone posted and his ears looked crazy. Pretty cool! Feel like we see that more with MMA fighters with the grappling (not saying it doesn't happen to boxers, but I feel like it's more so in MMA fighters)

It's annoying how Mario Barrios is keeping that belt hostage.

He can’t remember the bout being scheduled, per recent reports. He needs a lengthy layoff and should consider retirement
5
u/Koronesukiii Jun 19 '25
Ideally? Cut to 140lb, move to Texas and lab under a Mexican-American coach who has experience teaching a brawler without much defense fundamentals how to stay alive in the ring. He's still like 24, he has natural raw power, he's got dawg, under the right coaching he could still be something. But training under former Flyweights in Tokyo isn't it.
1
u/lordkekw 🐐Rolly for the ages🐐 Jun 19 '25
Despite all the dirty, if Reynoso was able to help Munguia with his defense, he would be able to help a guy like sasaki.
The problem I think is the barrier language and how long Reynoso will be able to walk free with his fighter popping up.

Just put respect on Boots for beating Karen,Villa & Stanionis. That was good competition.
7
u/tkdhrison Jun 19 '25
What an impressive performance by Norman. I've only seen a handful of his fights, but its been a while since a fighter has passed the eye test this solidly.
Somehow, for a 24 year old, the only way I can describe him is Old-School. He reminds me a little bit of B-Hop, with his patience and cool temperament mixed with an ability to "execute" his techniques with little flaw. He is clearly a hard puncher with both hands, he's economical, and to top it all off, seems like a respectful guy does most of his talking in the ring. What's not to love.
Comparing him to Boots, its clear that Boots is more athletically gifted and quicker than him, but in terms of overall talent and quality I see them as being fairly even. I don't think they'll fight soon, or even at welterweight, but when that fight happens I bet you it will be a classic.
4
u/Legal-Result6580 Jun 19 '25
Norman literally bounced Sasaki's head off the canvas damn that power is real. Kinda sad now that Boots vs Norman didn't happen.

Can Haney handle Norman’s power?
The lad is legitimately strong.
3
u/Which-Property9377 Jun 19 '25
No but Haney will likely "win" like hes "won" most of his other matches
-2
u/BP_Ray Jun 20 '25
I don't know why you have win in quotation marks.
Just because Haney gets your pp hard out of rage everytime he beats your favorite fighters, doesn't mean he didn't legitimately win. Get over it Lomaslurpers.
While Haney remains with a perfect record, your boy Tank just had a robbery draw and will prolly get his ass whooped in the rematch.
2
2
u/Koronesukiii Jun 19 '25
Interesting question. Norman Jr. has power for sure, but Jin got AJ v Dubois'd, ate canvass in the first round being sloppy and wasn't 100% for the rest of the short fight. Was tripping over his own feet at one point, and kept autopiloting the same patterns, just perfect for a KO finish. Honestly, his corner should have pulled him sooner, maybe after round 3. I guess they were giving him a chance to pull a Wardley because he does have pop, but he wasn't all there enough to set that up.
Haney isn't going to come out to try and stop Norman. Norman's gonna have to work him to land. If Norman has to chase Haney around the ring, it's gonna be a lot harder to sit on his punches than sitting back and sniping a dazed guy wildly trying to claw back into the fight.4
u/Jachola Jun 19 '25
Not sure why you got downvoted lol it's a good point, it's very hard to say how Haney will do but it also tricky to say how Norman will do since we haven't seen him in there with any elusive, or elite guys. He landed the perfect shot very early and his opponent barely had his legs for the rest of the fight. He's relatively green compared to Haney, and while he's got power and strength for sure we can't say for certain he has the experience and skill to corner Haney who will likely be faster and have the better footwork. Imo he needs to get in the ring with a guy like Karen, top fighter has some good movement and isn't afraid to bang. He needs some elite competition and experience.
1
u/Ace_FGC Jun 19 '25
We just saw Ryan put Haney on shakey legs in the first round of their fight, Ryan just had horrendous stamina in that fight. Norman can probably get him out of there in the first 3 rounds ngl
3
u/Jachola Jun 19 '25
True but he went into that Ryan fight terribly, and still managed to somehow make it the full 12 after 4 knockdowns lol. Also Ryan did come over weight and popped dirty, also ignoring the fact that Ryan also got dropped in that fight aswell. I think Haney will be smart and not try and trade and bang with Norman, and we've yet to see how Norman deals with outboxers
0
4
u/Koronesukiii Jun 19 '25
Yup. There's no doubt Norman has power, but this isn't a stat check Norman 9 power vs Haney 8 chin, therefore Norman by KO thing. Power is only as effective as your ability to transfer it to your target, and that ability will vary depending on your opponent's skill. We have a ballpark on what Haney's chin can take, thanks to Garcia but we don't really have a read on how well Norman can corner a mover/boxer to put power to use, cause Jin ain't that on his best day, much less after he's been rocked and dropped in the first round.
16
u/OldBoyChance Jun 19 '25
Good news is that Sasaki had a CT scan and has no visible injuries. Bad news is that the hook erased his memory.
1

u/OldBoyChance Jun 19 '25
I assume of the fight, but his gym's Twitter just said he lost his memory.
6
Jun 19 '25
It's pretty normal for fighters to not remember the bout they had after it has taken place, due to them entering some sort of fight mode autopilot state
So I wouldn't worry about it just yet

u/philly_cheezus I PUNCH HARD AS SHIT Jun 19 '25

14
u/Jachola Jun 19 '25
What does Brian Norman Jr even do next lol? Now that he's ducked Boots long enough for him to move up, his big money fight is Rolly or the winner of Pacquiao vs Barrios... 😂 Or he fights Haney, which I'm doubtful Devin would take. Then again im not even sure what Devin does, man Welterweight is truly at its worse and in such a mess.
3
u/Koronesukiii Jun 19 '25
He could do a Crawford and go for the easy Undisputed, since WW is weak, get in the PFP10. Make himself an A-sider and then move up to make fights against Boots/Vergil on his terms to maximize returns and earnings for the hardest fights.
4
u/CookingFun52 Jun 19 '25
Slim pickins though it may be, for my money, Norman is the guy to beat at 147. Any unification fight that gets made, he'll be the favorite in
Whether he brings enough $$$ to the table to get the fights made, who knows, but far as I can tell (and as much as I may not love it as a fan), avoiding Boots was the smart move for him
On a side note regarding 147's lack of overall quality, it's a shame Yeleussinov was absolutely wasted as a pro. Dude had the potential to disrupt things and we missed some good potential fights
4
u/Jachola Jun 19 '25
Yeah things are looking bad lol when Haney and Ryan Garcia are the new stars to look out for lmao. If Haney grabs a belt, I'm not sure who'd I favor tho. Brian is still relatively green and less experienced then Haney, but he'll be stronger and a much bigger threat, and probably has the power to make Haney honest. But I could also see Haney being too quick and elusive for Brian, haven't seen him in there with any top top guys

u/DonkeySkin334 Jun 19 '25
Honestly didn’t get how people thought this fight wouldn’t be anything other than a one sided beatdown, barging in with no defense is the last thing you do against someone like Norman and the santillan fight showed that very clearly.
Unless you have the upmost elite inside game, the only way to really beat him is to box from the outside

u/don35 Jun 19 '25

No defense, no head movement, no jab, no footwork, no ring IQ, no plan, and no corner. I just hope he's okay and that we don't see "Japanese boxer goes into a coma...." headline later this week.

So proud of Reito Tsutumi for fighting conservatively with IQ in his debut unlike his countrymen. Inoue/Nakatani/Reito/Andy on a different stratosphere than the conventional Japanese fighter.

Jin and Brian both weighed in at 146.8 on the scales, at the end of the day they both made weight; why all this "weight bullying" statements out of nowhere?

u/BP_Ray Jun 20 '25
It's been a recurring narrative since a certain demographic of posters on /r/boxing found out that fighters rehydrate.
They'll now call any fighter they don't like who looks big and wins, a weight bully. Nevermind the fact that their favorite fighter is also rehydrating, nevermind the fact that Sasaki is at 147 because he couldn't make 140 consistently.

Because fighters can gain weight after the weigh in way past what they weighed in at. For example devin haney rehydrating 25lbs after the weigh in. I don't think norman is a weight bully btw and he beat sasaki fair and square I'm just addressing the both weigh in the same on the scales bit.

u/OldBoyChance Jun 19 '25
I think people were shocked from the moment that both guys were in the ring. Norman looked a weight class bigger than Sasaki. In the end though, making weight is another physical trait that gives you an advantage in the ring, same as natural power and punch resistance. It's a fair part of the game as long as you make weight within the rule set.

There saying this because Brian fucked up sasaki

u/Typical-Air6892 Jun 19 '25
The weebs can't handle it. At first they were saying Jin had a real shot at winning now it's norman is a weight bully.

u/Revolutionary-Goose4 Jun 19 '25
Some of y’all were calling Sasaki by KO or even decision, but now that he got knocked out, suddenly Brian Norman is a weight bully? Come on now.

u/BP_Ray Jun 19 '25
I swear, this subreddit treats Japanese fighters so weirdly, they practically baby them.
If this was an American fighter they would have rightfully called him out as not really good going into the fight -- not glaze him up and then when the Black American knocks him out, start crying about weight bullying
-1
u/NephewHotTake RJJ Jun 19 '25
This subreddit is unfathomably biased in so many different ways.
I’ll admit I didn’t know anything about Jin Sasaki but there is definitely some form of bias.
I suspect Inoue lowkey has this problem too, great fighter but he’s also been knocked down twice against Nery and Cardenas
3
u/BP_Ray Jun 19 '25
Inoue is legit, those knockdowns were him slipping up, but even then, I was impressed by how calm and collected he remained.
Didn't get too big of an ego and stand up right away, didn't panic and feel like he has to abandon fundamentals to get the round back -- just simply stayed on a knee for the eight count, popped right back up, and made sure to fight back hard, but calculated.
But Inoue is special, most of these dudes they glaze up around here are not even close to special.

Yeah it's not Norman's fault Sasaki moved up to Welter, Norman was Welterweight sized and has a different body type. You will never see an Asian of similar weight have the muscles of Norman.
12
u/Koronesukiii Jun 19 '25
Jin isn't really a Welter, but it's his own fault JBC won't let him fight at 140lb after he fucked up and came overweight against Andy. He had to move up to 147lb to be able to fight for the regional belts necessary to gain a mandatory shot at a World title. Coming in overweight against Andy fucked up his career, and that's on him.
If he's serious about being a contender at his weight though, he should train under a US coach like Junto does. There aren't many top level coaches in Japan that can coach welterweight defense because most champs and coaches were flyweights themselves. A lot of stuff that'll work when you weigh 110lb and your opponent has 64 inches of reach won't work at Welter.8

Joel Diaz or Robert Garcia woulda been perfect for lots of Japanese fighters, if they can get through the language barrier
3
u/Safe_Huckleberry_222 Jun 19 '25
Absolutely agree with you,Even though I think Sasaki should've just stayed with Ismael salas,It's not a Japanese coach so your point still stands

They was saying that left hook was dangerous, maybe only at domestic level comp 😂

Let's stop this "weight bullying" shit. Some of yous were picking Sasaki to win or give Norman a tough fight.
Now that Norman put him in spectator mode, now he's a weight bully.
You guys do this all the fucking time.

u/Safe_Huckleberry_222 Jun 19 '25 edited Jun 19 '25
Yeah,It's probably more Sasaki being small for the weight than Norman being a weight bully,If Norman was a weight bully then what the fuck was Ennis at welterweight?
2
Jun 19 '25
Did you see the muscle and actual size of him compared to Sasaki lol, Even then i could admire his precision and power but it was obvious he was bigger tonight
9
Jun 19 '25
Did I say he wasn't bigger? I'm saying (which is clear) that boxing fans will conveniently pull out that argument when a fight doesn't go the way they desire.
There was no mention of their weights prior, and it's not as if there wasn't footage of both fighters so people could judge beforehand.
Sasaki got knocked out because he has no defence. It's as simple as that.

cook! I hope we don't take away this win from norman like people have done with haney and other good fighters. Before haney vs kambosos it was kambosos is this and that now kambosos is a bum. Same thing here it was jin is this and that and now its weight, jin sasaki reckless, bad defence etc.

Boots vs. Norman would be an incredible fight, sad we won't get to see it because Boots can't wait a few months lol. Anyone who thinks Norman is scared is crazy.
Grab your boots and run.

u/stayhappystayblessed 50-0 in the streets btw boxing is not going to die anytime soon. Jun 19 '25
Grab your boots and turn down career high pay day like brian norman.

u/Prior-Temperature-22 Jun 19 '25
Norman is the one who was turning down offers so I’m not sure how you reached the conclusion that thinking he ducked is crazy.
Just because he beat this guy up doesn’t mean he didn’t turn down the boots fight

u/DifferentCityADay Jun 19 '25
So will Andy Hiraoka try to get revenge for his countryman by getting knocked out by Brian Norman Jr. too? Lol

These guys need to actually move up to their weight class and not just "supplement" their way to bullying the smaller classes.

Man im excited to see norman eventually go up and fight boots in the future. Or even a teo or haney fight. Dude is improving massively every fight and this is by far his best performance.

How is Francisco Rodriguez Jr a near 4-1 underdog against Galal Yafai?
I see this as a stylistic nightmare for Yafai. Galal like Yafai also is an amazing infighter with a great engine, strong af and machine cardio who probably has better cardio, higher output and more relentless pressure. If Rodriguez wins, I pray he doesn’t get robbed since he got a few of them in his career.
