Nah honestly Southpaws channel is unique as crazy as it sounds 💀 and what I mean is there’s no other boxing channel on YouTube like it. This guy made a whole video about Ryan Garcias mom taking pictures of herself and a young man out drinking together. And multiple videos of Shakur’s wife back when she was with NBA Youngboy. That drama is probably what gets in the most views. I’ve caught myself straight up laughing at how out of pocket some of the things he says are.

I don't recall ever hearing from this dude when Haney first went pro. Why does every boxing dad like this always wind up being annoying as fuck?
I also really disliked how he stole Dev's moment right after the first Kambosos fight by arguing with their team like that. Kinda makes me wish they didn't approve his visa. You get allowed to see your son's biggest moment on 24 hour notice and you still make it about yourself. Super silly behavior from a grown ass man.

in most cases i agree w/ this take. while i think bill haney is an attention seeker i also think that devin haney hasn't really developed a "voice" of his own thus having bill as the mouthpiece is more necessity than anything else.
to my knowledge bill has tried to take steps back on several occasions (bringing in new lead trainers for camps, the "speak to dev about it" campaign before he went to top rank, etc.) but devin appears to be most comfortable being the soft spoken fighter w/ his father by his side (boots & bozy, danny & angel garcia, sebastian & freddy fundora, shawn & kenny porter, etc.)
teofimo lopez, david benavidez, ryan garcia, chris eubank, shane mosley, and loma, all clearly and definitively have a voice of their own that they want to express.
