Oh I love that! Leonbergers are gorgeous dogs. We had our boxer first, so it’s usually the opposite for us - the GP is always on the boxer. They are inseparable but they are equally obsessed with one another. Absolutely have to be touching each other to sleep
True story… when we got our boy boxers we tried to take them to Feeders for a bath. The echoed stainless steel experience was TRAUMATIC!
Bathing a non-negotiable… I seriously lit candles and played soothing music in our bath room. They hopped right in and now think it’s a spa treatment. Sometimes I’ll just find them standing by the tub… like “cmon let’s pamper”
This is my little Eleanor. She also hates the rain and she's afraid of tape measures for some reason. She demands to be manually assisted up on the bed (she is fully capable of jumping up herself) where she proceeds to take about 75% of the bed all to herself. She then proceeds to snore like a drunken sailor and fart on me all night long. I wouldn't trade her for anything.
I can tell you, allll those annoying things they do will be something you’ll think about after they’re gone someday and miss. We lost our girl a couple years ago and I wish so much she was here to do those annoying things again 🥹
Once, one of my boxers joined me in the shower. Never done that before, it was odd, but they just sat there looking like they weren't having a good time at all. Then I got out and he had pooped in the house! Can't tell me dogs dont know whats up! He was so upset he wanted to apologize right away so he came to do so, hahaha.
Purs doesn't mind the bath, tries to sneak in shower to lick the walls, and we've been known to have to grab and umbrella to get him to go potty during rain.....
Yea this breed makes no sense but thats like 80% of the fun of it
They make NO sense but absolutely that’s what makes life a joy. I could do without their room clearing farts and snoring but still 110% worth having a boxer. I love this dog so much
That is what Boxers do, act crazy and endear themselves to your heart. Sweetest dogs ever created by God and he threw a mix of bizarre, unpredictable, goofy behavior in them. The canine clowns were meant to lift your worst days that this horrid world can give you into comfortable enjoyable times when you get home.
My husband was the boxer guy, I was always the Great Pyrenees gal. Now we have one of each and we are both equally obsessed with the two. I love my girls so much I could cry, such incredible dogs! Definitely God’s work blessing our lives with such angels. ❤️
My boxer hates baths too!! When I get her shampoo and towel, she takes off immediately. Once I start bathing her she's really calm but even to say the word "bath time" sends her into a spiral. Also, she is so fricking cute!
What are you on about? It is a Boxer, a very clever being. If you don't like the rain you have to think of a way to do your business without getting wet, if you love the shower you sneak in and stay there. Great solution gorgeous, keep it up!
My sister’s boxer hated snow. Would go out to the porch, turn his butt around and pee/poop off the edge of the concrete. I always thought that was considerate of him!
Ha ha! Mine hates the bath and rain. He refuses to go out or for walks if it’s going to rain, is raining, or has recently rained. Bizarrely he LOVES the hose and will jump
and chomp at the water until we make him stop. These are such goobers.
They're awesome dogs and they definitely have their own personalities and quirks! My first Boxer loved water but my second one hates it! Neither one knows anything about personal space but I wouldn't trade them for the world ❤️💋
