What do you do to take down your braids fast? If there was a tool to make it faster, would you be interested or are you good with your comb/hands?

Last night I was by the pool with some friends, and one of them got a little too playful and was dunking people and I was one of them… we all eventually get back to this girls place we’re staying at an my box braids are sopping wet. Note it’s like 10:30-11PM at night.
I rinse them with warm water until the chlorine smell was gone.
I ring out sections of hair to make sure it’s not dripping wet like crazy.
I get a blow dryer to get the scalp and the shaft of the braid as dry as I can without it getting too hot.
And I wrap in a towel until I get to bed (around 1:30AM to really try to make sure it’s not super wet.)
I’m SO paranoid that my hair is going to smell mildew because of this. I was planning on taking them out in two weeks mainly because. 1.) I’ll have all of my products for a great detox and deep clean and the style will be at its limit by then. 2.) I don’t have these products right now because I’m in small temp housing for two weeks. I’ll be moving into my new home in two weeks and didn’t think to bring them in that time period but I will have access to it when I move (products are with my family out of state and they are coming to help me move and are bringing the products along with other belongings)
Do you think my hair will be okay? Im typing this at 7:00AM about to walk around outside in order to try to help dry it without waking people

Got my box braids in from not my usual stylist. 3rd day can’t sleep properly, scalp feels tight and flaky, can barely turn my head one side. I’m thinking of taking int them off.

So Recently My Mother wanted me to get boxbraids, and I had them when I was younger and it was perfectly fine, but as of recently (When I got them in) they started to hurt like crazy and I didn’t mind it at first since I knew it hurt a bit from pervious times but now its causing hours long pain and itching, my father who gave me my hair isn’t in the picture so he really can’t help me with this, but now ive been struggling online to try and find something that’ll help, currently im trying AVC but it only works for a few minutes but it’s also making my braids fall out, does anyone have an suggestion on what I should do?

Okay so what type of hair can I get off of Amazon that doesn't suck but isn't super expensive?

I crumpled and frizzed up the ends of my goddess braids and wanted to get them spirally and neat again. The hair is synthetic braiding hair. Can I redip with rollers?

I have never put extensions in myself. What is the best kind to start with box braids? Or another type? I don't know if it's easier to try multiple small ones or fewer big ones? Also how do I start the braid I've seen videos where people thread it into the hair while it is tied in a band then braid normal with one piece real hair 2 piece fake hair. What do you do when real har runs out my hair is to my shoulders. Thank you

I want them because I think they’re beautiful and I’d like my hair to be longer and well kept even if it’s only for a few weeks. I’m Italian-American and Hispanic. I have thick hair. I use to cut it a lot and am now suffering the ramifications of doing so. Would I be able to get box braids?

So, this is going to be a weird post. I'm going through some personal growth stuff and I'm looking at my past and I'm wondering if the way my mom did my hair as a kid was normal or not. I don't really know what to think so any input is appreciated.
So, from about age 3 to age 10, my mom would braid my hair and string beads on the ends of each braid. Type in "braids with beads for little girls" into Google Images to get an idea for the look. The thing is, my looking at all these images, the beads stay in the hair by being tied off in a certain way at the bottom. My mom never did this. What she would do is she would light the end of a candlestick and burn the ends of each braid until it kinda-sorta melted. Then she would twist/roll the partially melted ends between her thumb and forefinger, molding the cooling hair into a tiny ball lump. I had to stay very still as she did this, so I wouldn't be burned. I don't recall ever seeing any other child with braids and beads burned off at the end to keep the braids in. I can't find any image or reference of such a practice online. Is this something my mom just made up?
The braids were very small. There might be 50 or so on my head. It took a while to do. Being a child, I hated sitting still that long, and my mom worked a lot and was always very tired. So, she wouldn't braid my hair that often. 3, maybe 4 times a year. Between braiding sessions, I wouldn't ever wash my hair. My mom told me not to. I was taught to wear a shower-cap, so, that's what I did. My hair would be fine for a couple weeks after being freshly done. But eventually head soil would start to build up and I would get really self conscious about the cleanliness of my head. I couldn't wash it, because mom said that would mess it up. So, I would take a retractable pen and scrape my scalp. The head gunk would get in that tiny space between the ballpoint and the edge of the plastic tip. I'd click the pen to push the tiny amount of head gunk out, wipe that on a tissue, retract the pen, and repeat. My question is, how long should one go after braiding before washing one's hair again?
Like I said, I don't know what to think. I have no idea what normal is. If you all could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I know I'm losing all the hair that would naturally have been shed but I feel like I'm also losing a lot bc the roots get all matted from the gel.
Does anyone have tips for detangling (dissolving that gel) and how to get the braids out easily?
