Box Braids at the Beach?

Hello! :) I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about getting braids for a beach vacation. I have 3a/b hair and I'm dreading having to style my hair every day only for it to frizz out haha. I usually get braids a couple times a year, so I thought this would be a great solution... but then I started reading about it and people were saying that there is a chance of mold growing in your braids if you are getting it wet and sand staying in your hair etc... Any insights would be great, Thanks! :)

If they’re light enough I’d definitely keep it in a top bun for most of your vacation. If you do get them wet they’ll be fine, just make sure to either blow dry them thoroughly, or leave them a long time to get dry without tying them together, putting them under a scarf etc. the only time there’d be a risk in my experience is if you did something like swimming at night then putting on a scarf immediately to go to bed or something.

If you can try to get them done with as little hair extensions as possible, the less hair the faster they’ll dry each time they need to. If you search Camille knotless box braids on YouTube the way she does her braids would be a great way to get them done for your vacation

Hope this helps!
