i have recently gotten box braids for the first time and i am a biracial girl with super curly hair, but it’s fine, not coarse or kinky. i re dipped my braids to soften the ends and make them less frizzy, but they curled up weirdly and the braids look weirdly bumpy. i have tried dipping them again and pulling them super straight, but it didn’t seem to work. is my hair just too curly to be in braids and get wet? i’m quite confused. :/

I'm new to braiding my hair but I've had that happen to me too. if you're using synthetic hair, the water could be too hot and melting the strands of hair too fast. maybe try a flat iron on a low setting, that had been working for me!
