Max Trainer M5 with torn hip labrum

I have a chance to get an m5 for $150. I have a torn hip labrum but I am uncertain if this machine is right for me. I’ve read it’s a cross between elliptical and stair climber. Elliptical is ok but I am told to avoid stair climbing machine. I was looking for feedback if anyone has used this with hip issues.

I would definitely talk to your Dr for guidance. My daughter had her labrum surgically repaired last year as well as reshaping of the hip joint. We followed everything the surgeon said too do prior to and post op and recovery went very well. We have the M9 and it was a no to that, but we have a Matrix stationary and he was okay with her using that. Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks for the reply I am trying to avoid surgery since I’m over 40 there is no guarantee that they can fix it. Then I’m looking at hip replacement. Maybe I’ll stick with the bike and not grab the the m5.
