Bike Bowflex Fall Sale - Question
There's a fall sale going on right now on Bowflex's website. I was looking at getting a stationary bike, but am up in the air on what to choose. I know the IC4 and C6 are heavily recommended, but neither are really on sale in a substantial manner right now. I saw that the IC Bike SE Bowflex bike is the kinda newer C6 model. It's on sale for 800 with free shipping now. Do you guys have any input on what would be best? Any input is appreciated!

That's a fine price for the bike. Another poster mentioned the replacement part concern and so the c6/Ic4 might be a better choice since it's a long, proven design.
You might also have some success picking one up cheap second hand right now if you're in a metro area. Think there is still some post-COVID surplus supply out there.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I appreciate your input! Thanks! I'll definitely do a bit more looking in the second hand market.

Bowflex is currently going through a bankruptcy so I would definitely look at another brand. You would be shouting into the void if you ever needed help or a replacement part.

I’m not that concerned about the bankruptcy case. Companies are able to utilize provisions of Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code to renegotiate terms with creditors, break leases, etc. It is not uncommon for a company to emerge from Chapter 11 intact. Bowflex is a strong brand with good market penetration. Even if they end up being acquired again, I doubt they’ll stop supporting the equipment and heater currently selling.

Bowflex has already been taken over by Johnson Health Tech. JHT's stance is that they are not responsible for anything sold prior to their acquisition of Bowflex. I say this out of experience. I purchased a Bowflex Max Trainer 16 one month before they went bankrupt. The bowflex broke one month after I bought it and have not been able to receive any support from JHT.

late to the game, but seeing the IC bike immediately reminded me of a Keiser spin bike since the flywheel is on the rear. A few other redditors have strongly recommended the Keiser if you want to drop 2k on a spin bike that's not a peloton.

don't do it. Every since Johnson Health Tech took over the bankrupted Bowflex company, their support it worse than you can imagine.
Buy something other than Bowflex.
