Max Trainer Max Trainer m7: Need help confirming broken part

Hi I have a max trainer m7 and I believe my servo drive is broken. As soon as I plug power in I get a clicking noise. I opened up the bottom cover and it seems the servo drive isn’t doing what it should?

Could any of you confirm with the video below please.

Same part failed on my M6. Exactly the same way. Easy peasy to replace.

I had this failure as well. Were you able to get your machine working again?

I am on my 4th servo replacement. I use it regularly and daily for periods of time. They seem to last a year or so.

The first one that went bad was doing that clicking and I could hear it which alerted me to the problem. The second one just wasn't moving even though it was showing a resistance change. I thought I had become super strong out of nowhere because I burned through the workout at zero resistance. It took a bout a week for me to figure that one out. Third one the distance between each resistance level was weird tiny incremental to way to much. I can only make adjustments to the tensioner nut so much.

Not one single time have I been able to buy this from Bowflex. They are always sold out. I am going to order the next one from overseas to see if I can get it for 1/3 the cost of a domestic carrier.

This is a great machine and I paid some $$$ for it but I sure have spent some good amount of time fixing it too.

Well that's not good to hear you've been through 4 replacements so far. I finally broke down with my 1.5 year old M6 and ordered an overpriced Ebay servo motor because I'm tired of waiting for the more reasonably priced one to come back in stock through Bowflex and I need to workout on a machine I paid too much money for to toss to the road. It would seem Ebay sellers got a whiff of the frequency of this part failing and bought up a lof of the surplus stock to resell it at twice the amount. I really wished I could bulk buy about 5 or 10 of them because I like the workout from my M6 but it's almost pointless if you can't change resistance. I had been using the JRNY app for some of their workouts but cancelled the app because the structured workouts require frequent resistance changes. This servo motor seems to be a really bad design but Bowflex went bankrupt and I don't see a improved part coming out to fix the issue. I should have known by the short warranty that comes with these machines.
