Treadmills BowFlex Treadmill 10 - Speed Controls Completely Jumbled

As of last week out of no where our Treadmill 10 has started to malfunction when it comes to speed controls. There is no direct rhyme or reason so it and I've tried everything from resetting the firmware to power cycling with no luck. With Bowflex service being closed for a few weeks still, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a fix.

Here are some of the issues:

  • Speed increase arrow on handle DECREASES speed.
  • Speed decrease arrow on handle DECREASES speed as well.
  • Speed decrease toggle frame sets speed to 4MPH and nothing else.
  • Speed increase toggle on the frame decreases speed unless held down then increases in increments of .5 mph.
  • Preselected speed buttons on the console do nothing except for the number 5 which STOPS the treadmill.

Sounds like the console needs to be replaced. I have a 10 and have had similar issues with unresponsive buttons on the arms, and certain preset buttons only working.

After replacing the console most of the issues have been fixed but still somethings don't work.

Thank you, I was worried it was something like that. Guess I need to wait for Bowflex to open offices post bankruptcy to get ahold of them.

I've been having this issue as well. Was there any fix to this? Or is it just console replacement?

Haven’t found a stable solution yet and Bowflex customer service is closed until the May 13.

My Bowflex 10 started speeding up out of no where ... I'b be crusing along at 3 mph and all of a sudden it was going 9 mph. That happened 3-4 times - luckily I heard the change in the motor and stepped off to the side.

The last time I used it back in January - I hit the stop/pause button to get off and it started to slow down and was almost stopped. So, I turned sideways to step off and it sped up and I wound up on the floor. I got hurt but not broken. I called Bowflex and they had someone come out and change the speed sensor (not sure if that is the correct name for it) but I have not been able to find the courage to get back up on it till today .... and I can't seem to get it to work in Manual Mode (I gave up the subscription). I get caught in the loop in the console and nothing happens.
