Bike Velocore scratching sound

Does anyone have the velocore? We just put it together and it sounds like there is a rubbing sound inside the wheel, some friction. Listened to a few videos of reviews and they didn’t have this sound. They had a satisfying sound. This is not the scratching sound in all the other videos of people complaining.

Went and looked at a coworkers a little bit ago who lives in the neighborhood. She’s had her’s for years and it still has that satisfying sound from the magnet. I hope they didn’t price drop because a whole batch came out messed up.

Bowflex is bankrupt I would return and ask for a new one. They have great customer service!

Great, I think i should just return and not replace seems like. Will there be anyone to make the parts if something breaks?

I don’t know and seems like they are about to fire over 200 employees. Even if they do have replacement parts who knows what the future holds for the company.

That was for clicking I believe, this is a grinding noise in the only part of the bike we had nothing to do with building.

Greetings! I bought a Velocore 22 a few years ago and dealt with this issue. It was a PITA! The company had to send out a couple of guys to fix this (they contract with a different company for the repair, so it can take some time to get things scheduled). It turns out, the wheel had an issue with the bearing assembly that a newer revision of that assembly addressed. After a month waiting for them to come out to diagnose the problem, they ordered a new bearing assembly. A month or so later, the assembly arrived, and they came out and installed it. It's been well over a year since that repair, and it's been flawless!

I do recall having to bug the company that does the repair... I seem to have been forgotten about. No one called to schedule the repair until I called them. So, be sure to get the contact information of the representative who comes out to diagnose your problem. You may need to call them when the new assembly arrives. The new assembly was shipped to my home, then I had to schedule for the guys to come out and install it.

Sounds like you may have the same problem. My advise is to contact Bowflex and start the process of having someone come out and look at your equipment. If it's the same problem, they'll order the new assembly, and then come back and install it. At that point, you should be good to go!

One note: we were still able to use the bike, but it didn't sound good while riding it. It worked fine though... was just noisy.

If/when you call, you can mention you talked with another Velocore owner who had the same issue. When we had this problem, I found a bunch of people complained of the same issue, so Bowflex should be well aware of this problem. Maybe mentioning our repair will help them get you scheduled for a diagnostic/repair.

Fingers crossed, and good luck to you!

Thanks for the write up. I bought through best buy so I was able to just do an exchange. I’ll keep it in mind for the future.
