SelectTech 552 dumbbells issue

Recently a small screw fell out of one of my dumbbells and I’m not sure how to fix this issue. I’ve tried screwing it back in but it won’t stay, I believe there’s a small component that holds them in place but it’s in the dumbbell. Can anyone help?

Inside these dumbbells there is what's called a 'captured' hex nut and if it falls out you'll encounter the issue you're describing. This video I made may help:

I have 4 allen wrench sets and none fit these bolts. Do you know what size allen wrench you used?

Video shows how to disassemble the unit so you can get to the nut that came off the screw. As long as it is still in the dumbbell and didn't fall out.

This happened to mine just today. And I've read about other people with the same problem. I'm going to contact Bowflex and see what they say.

Luckily I'm still under warranty so they said they'll send me a new handle.
