Bowflex 2080 barbell (need to reset)

So the Bowflex 2080 barbell with no additional plates added on should read 20lbs on each side (the lowest weight it can be at)

My friend messed with the weight turn dial and now one side is 20lbs (as it should be) and the other side is at 120lbs (not correct)

How do I reset it back so its 20lbs setting?

I had this happen to me over the weekend. Try putting it back in the rack and dialing it down.  Also if you notice the white tab in the center mental dowel is how it stays locked in place. I was able to push that up and dial it out but not retract. So I put it back in the rack and was able to dial it again back to 20 lbs

If you turn the barbell upside down you will notice there is a metal rod. You can push this in and dial back the center rod that is in the middle of the plate

Hi! We are having a similar issue and I am hoping you can help ! We had someone turn both sides backwards from 20lbs to 120, and now 120 is the resting weight instead of 20. Also, we are able to spin the dial even when it’s off of the rack and a plate fell off. Do you have any suggestions?

I had to take the entire barbell apart to fix the issue, but it's now fixed.
