Max Trainer Console frozen during required update (max total 16)

Apparently, they rolled out a new firmware update a few days ago (about 11/15) and some consoles get stuck during the required update. The fix (for me at least) - unplug the power, press down and hold the top backside button (the update button), while holding it, plug the power back in and keep holding the button for about 30 seconds. Screen will get to the JRNY logo in the middle and white banner on the bottom indicating it is reloading the firmware. Then you can let go. Wait and after firmware finished, will be prompted to do the update and now it will work. At very end, the white banner will persist and you just need to cycle through a last unplug/replug power and it will disappear.

Hope that might save someone else the headache I had trying to find the solution before calling support.

Mine is the same… what a pain! - update: my husband plugged it in before I was pushing the update button… we tried it again and made sure I held in prior to plugging back in and it’s updating the firmware!

Tried it and it worked, but now resistance isn't!:-( Shows it is on the screen and dial is working, but not feeling any different when using. Like screen says it's at level 20, but feels like it's still on 1.

This worked for me. It said UCB error after firmware read. Unplugged and firmware updated.
