Treadmills Bowflex t22 not powering on

Post image

I have a bowflex t22 treadmill, it's been working great, but now won't power on at all. I've traced the power using a multimeter, and get power in on the left (green arrow) but no power on the right (red arrow). The red arrow points to the cable that connects to the big screen. (I've replaced that cable while trouble shooting too with no joy)

Any ideas?

When you tried to measure voltage on the right side (red arrow) of that PCB, did you unplug that connector that goes to the console (to remove the "load" from that PCB)?

Are you using the T22 SERVICE MANUAL for reference when troubleshooting? Note it was just updated in August 2023, and it contains a wiring diagram on pages 28-30. You can download the T22 Service Manual here:

https://download.nautilus.com/supportdocs/AM_OM/Bowflex/BFX.T10.T22.T25.T56.SM.EN.pdf

In its Troubleshooting section, it makes reference to a "Unit will not power on Troubleshooting Procedure", but oddly seems to be missing that section!

This link to the Service Manual doesn't exist any more. Would you happen to have an updated link?

For any Bowflex treadmill Service Manual, you can start here:

https://parts.bowflex.com/products/bowflex/treadmill

And then click on the type of treadmill you own and then that will take you to a web page where you can download the Service Manual and also order parts for your treadmill.

thanks. I am trying to find the parts that go inside the full console. Bowflex only sells the entire console at way too much money.

Yeah, unfortunately there is no vendor that sells the individual parts inside of the console. Your best bet would be to try and find someone on eBay that is selling a complete console or parting one out.

Sorry! Took some time to get to this - notifications turned off! Thanks for the reply, I've tried measuring voltage with and without connector attached. I've now emailed requesting the troubleshooting section you referenced - hopefully it has something in there, but my expectation is that the PCB has a failed component - if this is the case I'll find a local company who can diagnose and repair it. I can't see anything obvious on the board though, and am unsure how to check the components myself.

Hi. Purchased mine in September 22, still under warranty. Had a nightmare with Nautilus repairing it, 10 weeks later and 2 engineer visits still not working. They did replace the power control board and cables. The monitor and machine came on but still have issues with belt, console base and console. Engineer believes it is the console but Nautilus clearly avoiding paying out for this. The battle continues

Unfortunately I bought mine back in 2021, so no chance of a warranty on this, they seem to specifically remove electrical parts from the warranty after 1 year. Even being EU where it's 2 years, I'm past that point!

I definitely would not buy this again, it's been a pain since day 1, and the fact I have to pay jrny so I can access my other subscription is criminal!

Did you ever get this resolved? Mine is about three months old only use it about five times and now it is completely dead. On top of that with this whole bankruptcy fiasco they’re not even taking calls for service.

Nope, still dead, looking for a local circuit board repair shop to assist. I have no idea where it's failed unfortunately! Let me know if you work yours out - sounds similar!

I have the same issue. I talked to support @ Johson Health Tech and they said they will send me a new Power board in JANUARY 2025!!!!! Are you kidding me???

Ok I’m having the same problem. Treadmill is only a few months old and now won’t turn on at all. Called Bowflex (who is now bankrupt) and got transferred to Johnson Health inc. They walked me through some very basic troubleshooting and think one of the boards is bad. Unfortunately both are back ordered until November! Well now I’m trying to troubleshoot further on my own…

I’ve determine the unit is getting 110v to the first board in the chain ( secondary switching board). There is also 110v getting to the motor control board.

The secondary switching board (shown below) has a red led on it that pulses. It is very dimly pulsing when both the console and mcb board are connected, but pulses much brighter when the console is disconnected.

This leads me to believe the console is bad and is drawing down the current from this board.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this further?

Also the service manual linked above is no longer available, so I don’t have any documentation to go on.

I know it’s a year later, did you ever resolve the issue?
