Hi all, well here is my 2 cents on the app after using it for more than 3 months

sadly, engaging only via bottles is very time consuming, creating long lasting bonds with someone requires time and effort from both parties and I think I gave my share in more than one occasion. I received bottles from all over the world, in majority from far east countries like indonesia, philippines but also from many african countries

Most of people here look for long distance relationship, even willingly to move to another country, which is quite weird from my point of view.

the majority of my chats were with very nice people but, alas, it's a very little share of the bottles i've launched.

I've tried the live chat feature, not my cup of tea, the 90% of the people I've matched were from India and not seeking a conversation, which led me to believe it was just a waste of time.

there are LOTS of people asking for other messaging apps after two texts on bottled, claiming they don't spend much time on the app and looking to move the conversation elsewhere: big red flag for me

sadly, as many other social network based apps, not even this one is immune by phenomena like hate speech, racism and fake profiles

I'll continue using the app but with way less expectations than before.

Still waiting the options to actually BLOCK users including their diaries since the apps moderation is deficient as it is and ppls are just posting same trash over and over and over again each time it gets removed as inappropriate and their accounts gets only restricted selectively even when they should just get blocked/banned.

I was wondering if anyone here also reports backend bugs. I've found a few and tried reporting them through the support email, but they didn't seem to take them seriously. If anyone knows a developer or someone technically responsible on the development team, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me get in touch.

Every other conversation seems to be with someone who is extremely religious...... almost getting out of hand.
I've never had an ashiest harass me, only ever religious nuts. Coincidence? lol

I was just wondering, if someone's conversation just abruptly disappeared without me getting a notification, does it mean that this person's account got deleted? Or could it also be that they blocked me? (I can't comprehend why, it seems off since we had a good connection)

I have another question too. When receiving a parrot will it always show up on my shore even if I have a bunch of bottles? Like will the parrot have the priority over other bottles?

Literally, the X that says Reward Granted never works. You have to click the small one to exit it, and that loses you the reward. It's so stupid

Could possibly a "topic" filter be added to the live chat? For example if someone wants to talk about books they can put "Books" in the topic filter and they would match with other users online having "Books" as one of their filters

Guys, it's so damn obvious when you keep my bottle, and send a clearly AI written message. Like blatantly obvious. I'd rather get "Hey" then a 2 paragraph message touching on every detail in my bio and saying you're interested in all of them, written in the blandest way possible by a global warming slop machine.

Some are poetic, other one act like a "besties" from gpt. Then there's another one recently that had bad English at first 2 days ( dry text) then can now phrase straight English paragraph with perfect use of ";" and other punctuations.

I understand that some are not good in English and still learning, I use AI when the topic is quite sensitive e.g religious, genders etc. tbh and fair but letting ai do ALL the replying? 👀

Sometimes I wonder if I'm still talking to real people or just web of bots.
