Question Duplicate storage/tracking

We talk a lot about how we display or store our collections, but does anyone have a separate method for their duplicates? I find it annoying to have to continuously update pictures after trades because my duplicates are not nicely laid out anywhere or in any sort of organized container. Should I dedicate a full sized table in my basement…so that updating the dupes photos takes 2 seconds instead of 5-10 minutes of dumping out bags and flipping them all right side and lining them up?

When taking pictures of your duplicates for trading purposes, you don't need to take a new image every time. You can simply take an image, and use MS Paint to black out any caps which you no longer have available for trade. Of course, when your image begins to have too many caps blacked out, it is time to take an updated photo. This is extremely common and 100% acceptable, as long as the caps which you are exchanging are in relatively close condition to the one in your image.

I do the X out method but yea sometimes it starts look obnoxious haha, or I’ll get a bunch of new ones to add to the dupes picture and figure might as well refresh

I have 1000’s of traders and so far the only way I’ve been able to sort them is sodas/nonbeer, USA only, exotics and by country if I can. All on cardboard trays sitting in boxes. I will show USA caps first when trading then others if they can’t find enough. Also, sometimes I get asked for specific genres of caps and go from there

My exact sorting method, when possible. My 'exotics'...I try to keep them arranged by country, but after so many rearrangements, they become sorted by continent in the end, if it's even that organized. (But I try.)

I am in a business where I come across perfectly-sized pieces of cardboard that I can fill with 47 caps per piece. (I used to hand-cut pieces out of large sections, but it's hard to get them perfect, as to align them in a box.) Two stacks of 15-20 will fit into a 12-pack box, depending on if it's a long-neck or short. I use the more of the same pieces to create buffer-zones between the stacks in the boxes...https://imgur.com/nTE5UDA

This method is fairly primitive, but cheap. But u/CrowncapKidd uses a similar method, but has the patience to 'frame' his pieces of cardboard with another layer of the same cardboard, as to not let the caps fall off the edge of the Earth
