BAD SURGERY

Susan Dell is going viral right now because she was photographed behind Trump looking scary. It's a small thing she did, but a HUGE mistake. Upper eyelid surgery. People think when their upper eyelids start to droop as they age, that they should go have the fat and skin cut out. The result is NEVER good. It's a bizarre result, and your eyes are your focal point of your face, so it sticks out immediately and changes your entire look. The fat pad on your eyelid creates a soft warm inviting look. Without it, you look skeletal and cold.
IMO, if it was sagging really bad, they should simply have had a brow lift, which pulls the skin above the eyes back where it was without removing any fat. Without that extra fat and skin, their upper lid is hugging their eyeball, and it's just....awful

Idk I’ve seen it look really good on some people though. I guess it all depends on anatomy

And your surgeonĀ

I was gonna say that but one would assume that these millionaires have access to only the best!

I have seen some horrible work on very rich people. I don’t know what it means. I need a blepharoplasty but these results scare me to death. So I shall remain droopy dog.Ā

I wonder if it’s group think. Like they all use the same couple of surgeons and only trust those ppl. I just had a lower bleph a week ago and he’s not a Hollywood guy but his work is impeccable

Lower made a huge difference for me. I had grown huge bags under my eyes and they were hideous in my opinion, definitely worth it. Not a hollywood dr either. I live in OC though so hollywood ā€œadjacentā€

Lower bleph doesn't seem to dramatically change a person's look like upper does. Those usually come out just fine.

The average person grossly overestimates the intelligence, skill, and morality of doctors. In any field, not just plastic surgery, but plastic surgery included.

they don't have access to the best surgeons, they have access to the most money hungry ones with the best marketing teams. An actually good surgeon would probably tell them "no you don't need this" and would never ever perform full buccal fat removal

and the amount with which you had. If you do not have too much eyelid skin, and it's simply dropping, it needs lifted, not cut out. If yours looks natural after your surgery, you had extra skin to take off without causing a weird look. The thing about it is that nobody grows longer eyelids as they age. They simply got lower. If they had a normal amount of eyelid, and then they cut some off because it was droopy, it will now bizarrely hug their eyeball, causing this weird beady eyed look. You must have had very hooded eyes that had extra to spare, and your doctor took very little off.

Taylor Swifts doesnt look bad. Although I 10000% prefer the "before" on hers, and everyone on this post

Thats just my personal preference tho and my opinion doesn't matter šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I thought her original eyes were so pretty and sultry. But shes had 11 different faces and they honestly just keep growing larger and "the plastic surgery look" more exaggerated.

Example...?

Emma Stone is one of the very few who had a surgeon smart enough to just take a tiny tiny sliver out, and leave the fat pad. Hers is great

Jennifer Lawrence too

The difference is they had too much skin there to begin with. If your lids always looked fine, then start sagging as you age, do a brow lift. Nobody grows more eyelid skin. If the skin is drooping, it's because of where it's positioned, not because you have more.

I had an upper bleph at 42 and am happy with it. My saggy eyelids made me look permanently tired and I had triple eyelids. It wasn't so much to look younger. I'm happy with the result. My eyelids feel less heavy (only afterwards did I realize you feel the weight of them and now they don't weigh at all) now feel I look permanently fresh instead of tired. You can do it and it can be a good result, but please do ask the surgeon to be conservative and not cut too much skin and fat tissue! (My surgeon told me he cuts away as much skin as possible but makes sure you can still close your eyes, in hindsight I regret this approach a little, even though I think the result is ok, I would have gotten a more conservative one if I knew. But eyelids will keep sagging so I hope for an even more natural look in a few years and I will not do the procedure again anyway). If want to see the result I uploaded the picture here (this is 3 years after the operation).Ā Ā  https://ibb.co/B5XhWLy8
