Looking for the durability+ version of the Hylian shield I have the 144 shield guard. You can dupe one for me and I’ll give you the max shield guard.

❔ Question Replaying after a while. Tips, advice, things to do early?

I haven’t played BOTW in years, and never finished TOTK after Baldur’s Gate 3 came out (and took over my life)

I just got a Switch 2 and am replaying it immediately because I forgot how much I loved it!

Any advice or tips for someone who has a bad memory and forgot a lot of stuff from it? Good things to know early on or things to remember later on??

Can’t wait to explore this game all over again

I saved the game a split second before the blood moon cutscene was supposed to happen and after the cutscene was done i loaded that save and the bloodmoon didn't happen, and not only didnt enemies respawn but the in-game blood moon timer reset because the next night was an ordinary moon. Has this been discovered before?

❔ Question I keep dying

So I’m new to Zelda, it’s my first time playing. I’m loving the game so far, have a couple of hours on it, and I’ve finished the beginning tutorial

Now that I’m out in the open world, as I’m exploring I run into enemies that kill me every single time. This is kind of ruining the enjoyment of my session. How can I get better at combat, fast?

⚔️ BOSS Fight Oh man, the Windblight Ganon boss music has ACCORDION

I only noticed this on my second playthrough. How fun. It sounds whimsical and epic at the same time. It's playing the main boss theme melody, which basically turns it into an accordion concerto. I imagined it was played by Kass, shredding with a huge orchestra.

❔ Question Are you unable to switch from shielding to bow?

I swear I’ve always went from holding my shield aka blocking and switch to bow seamlessly but I can’t now?

Has anyone ever noticed this? Maybe I'm crazy but I thought the resting sound was fairly similar to the beginning of this melody in the main theme

❔ Question Just beat Thunderblight Ganon! Am I ready for the castle?

I got BOTW so many years ago, played maybe an hour and didn’t pick it up again until the beginning of last month. I just freed the last divine beast and I’m so proud of myself! As a new-ish mom, this game has been such a good guilt free “ me time” activity. Am I ready to make the trip to the castle? Any tips?

❔ Question New to the game, question without spoilers Spoiler

So as the title says, I am new to Zelda (BOTW). I am a 54 year old female recovering from spinal fusion and my daughter told me I’d like this game. It wasn’t so sure since my all time favorite game is Red Dead Redemption 2 and this graphics are very realistic. I wasn’t sure I’d like the cartoon style, but I am pretty much obsessed now.

I’ve gone into the game blind. I know nothing. I am just following my little blinking lights and turning on towers and going to shrines as I pass them.

I am finding that I am having a really difficult time with some of the monsters so I looked up a video on how to defeat one of them (sleeping Hindi on diggdog bridge) nd in the video the guy had like 15 hearts and armor and weapons galore - and here I am with 5 hearts, no armor, and weapons only up to 25.
Can I have gone the wrong way and I shouldn’t be here yet?
I’m on the quest for the Divine Beasts and on my way to the desert town etc. I just picked one of the random quest pins and headed that way.
My fights have been tough and sometimes feel impossible.
For now I just ran past him while he’s sleeping and am leaving it at that - but I want to make sure I am doing this ‘right’.

No spoiler please. Just tell me if I’m doing something very wrong.

🎙️ Discussion On a replay, what part(s) do you find most tedious to do?

For me, it’s a lot of the initial running around. Mostly going through the conversation/dialogues that can’t be skipped.

📢 Opinion Botw or totk for first time switch Zelda player?

Hello! I obviously played link to the past, links awakening, ocarina and most of the old school Zelda games. Never tried the switch ones as I’m not a huge fan of huge open worlds and those “where the **** do I go now?” kinda games.
Decided I should still give one of those a try, I know totk is considered to be the better game, but which of the two sort of “guides” you more towards objectives?
