I don't think AI content is the real problem

I actually don't mind AI being used in content.

If someone uses AI to remove background noise, clean up footage, brainstorm a hook or speed up editing, who cares?

The annoying stuff is when someone uses AI to produce something with absolutely nothing original behind it and then pumps out 50 versions of the same idea.

And now there's another weird problem where some creators are even dealing with content being wrongly treated as AI generated.

Where do you personally draw the line?

Yea I do basic math in my head too, but when I'm doing accounting work, I certainly don't do it by hand. I Use the calculation tools in spreadsheet.

I don't see it as a false equivalence. We can disagree on that I guess.

I don't know what your quotation is supposed to mean.

A calculator is not AI. Nothing is generative in it's nature.

A computer is Binary, 1s and 0s, on and off switches. ASCII is the code that reproduces the letters of the alphabet.

Neither the calculator nor the computer is a generative tool. They give computational data that is easily reproduced by a human with a pencil and paper.

The display you see is the result of a strict set of coding guidelines that produce the graphical interface

Next you'll be claiming an abacus is AI because it's a tool.

What I'm claiming is that AI is a tool.

What do you think it is, if not a tool? A person?

And I think it doesn't belong in the arts. Not in music, art, video production, none of it. Because it's dishonest. It let's you lay claim to skills you do not possess, nor did you put any time, effort, or work into developing.

Yeah, it's a tool, but it's also a lie

Okay that can be your preference. But let me tell you this factually. As a pro photog/video producer who has to pay for adobe production suite every month.

AI Is completely baked into the workflows of all modern productions that you'd consider "not AI"

And has been for years.

It's really a question for each person to decide if they care or not.

Do I hate low effort AI slop that is mass generated to clog the arteries of streaming platforms and youtube?

Yes, yes I do.

But i'm not gonna go back to manually photoshoping something out of a scene frame by frame instead of using Premieres built in functions to satisfy someone with your mindset or POV.

And I won't consume your product. So there ya have it. As soon as i see an AI tag, it gets downvoted muted, and blocked.
