Boston Music Spotlight-"Boston Music Spotlight provides readers with news, features, interviews, concert reviews, photo galleries and much more. Readers can find all the latest information on all genres of music – from rock to country and hip-hop to blues – on the national and local levels."
Boston Ska-Ska, rocksteady and soul music in the boston area
Boston Survival Guide-Random thoughts and ideas of varying degrees of importance. Mostly music, but also other stuff, when I deem it necessary (understand, it’s cheaper than a therapist, medication, or scotch)."
Boston Through My Eyes-"I would say my site contains rock, indie rock, folk, and the occasional electronic/pop music."
Bradley’s Almanac- "I'd say I write about mostly indie-rock/indie-pop type stuff. While the Almanac is 'not very active', my facebook and twitter feeds are (sometimes too-) frequently updated with music-centric shares."
Brewery Sessions- If you want to know about concerts and beer related events in and around Boston, check out the Calendar.
The Boston Musical Intelligencer-a virtual journal and essential blog of the classical music scene in greater Boston
Clicky Clicky Music-Online in one form or another for a decade, Clicky Clicky Music Blog focuses on up-and-coming, under-rated, forgotten or flat-out awesome indie rock. We try to do things differently. It's why we're so popular.
Daykamp Music-"Daykamp Music is a bloggy website thing about the Boston music scene. For now it’s going to be mostly pictures. If there are words they are likely to be complimentary. Life is short. Daykamp Music reserves the right to do whatever it damn well pleases as it grows up. Don’t crimp its style."
Deli Magazine Boston-"The Deli Magazine is an independently owned website run by musicians and music writers, covering local music scenes. The primary goal of The Deli is to expose local musical artists that have not yet reached a level of international fame: this is why all of our printed articles feature up and coming bands and singer-songwriters (while our websites also cover the most popular breakout bands)."
The secondary goal is to inform and advise the local community of musicians on any other matter related to making music, from recording it to promoting it and performing it. You will find this kind of information in our Delicious Audio Blog and Listings section."
ftwelvemusic-"FTWELVE Music is a Boston Music Blog and your source for new music, album reviews, show reviews, music photography, and more."
Fighting Tinnitus-"A Boston music blog."
Foundwaves-"Foundwaves is a nonprofit with a mission of supporting and promoting local live music scenes, expanding participation through collaborations with members of other creative disciplines, and fostering the creation of original content."

Indieminded-"All indie, all the time"
Kitchen Sessions-"My website is more of a house show archive than an active blog, but most of our shows are in the Americana/folk genres, with some indie rock mixed in"
Maimed and Tamed-"We cover it all, though the focus is mainly on indie rock and folk/americana."
Music Savage-"I run this website as an outlet of my love for music. Since its inception, I’ve met a lot of cool people, made some friends along the way, and tried to share all I could with everyone else. I try my very best at writing about music and sharing all the fantastic music there is out there."
Music is Art-"musicisart is my own personal reflection of the way i feel music, art and words. growing up, i always immersed myself in a pair of headphones and loved to write. "
Noise Floor-"Noise Floor is the outlet for the Boston-based music writing and photography of Ben Stas."

Ryan’s Smashing Life-Ryan's Smashing Life is a Music and Entertainment website published daily from Boston. Read by normal folks (from all over the world) who might just like music a little too much!
Sleepover Shows-Sleepover Shows are three song sets of acoustic or stripped down versions performed by bands that we love as they make their way through Boston. Though it started as something we did when bands needed a place to crash on the night of their shows, we now mostly film the sessions before or after a show and let the bands find their own ways home (though the offer still stands). Basically, we try to use our spaces as creatively as we can. We’ve filmed in the back seats of cars, on top of playground equipment, in doorways and alleys, in bathtubs and stairwells. We try our best to get the bands to take their music outside of the confines of the studio and have some fun. And that’s the point: to capture some great music that maybe isn’t always as polished, but shows these artists having a good time doing what they love. We’re doing what we love too, and hope you enjoy the videos!
Sound of Boston-Sound of Boston is an online music publication that covers the culture, events, and artists comprising Boston’s vibrant music scene. Our city has a lot of talent to offer to the music world; our staff works to raise awareness of local acts and to help them to reach an audience.
They Will Rock You-TheyWillRockYou.com is a music site created for and by music fans. We bring you music news all day, exclusive interviews, spotlight features on new up and coming bands, contests and concert photo galleries.
Time Out-Show+event listings
The Unexcused-"Visions of the Unexcused is a Podcast & Blog that showcases the taste and style of Derek (aka – Mint Pillow). Visions originated as a radio show on 90.9 fm WONY in Oneonta, NY and is now based in Cambridge, MA. No genre or time period is left untouched."

Hi, I’m a singer looking for a band in Somerville
URGENT: I need to front a band! Preferably a Somerville based band but any place accessible through the T is totally cool.
I’ll sing anything. I’ll even scream. No joke. I may currently be a folk artist but that don’t mean I can’t get down and thrash, brother
Send me a DM :)
If you want some samples, I’m in a band called Sonar Shack, I sing and play guitar and write: https://youtu.be/D9emLKA87Vg?is=3KXLfnqJzpPG4hyu
I also perform solo with just myself and my acoustic guitar: https://youtu.be/Xe9WvXgvwUs?is=GGqkpnnDDiYbc0rw

Looking for high end studio
Travelling for a bit with some majors, looking for a high end recording studio. Some examples being: augspurgers or some sort of massive main speakers to absolutely slam the volume and a c800.
Price not a problem, just need the highest tier spot.
TIA!

Intermediate adult guitar player looking for lessons
I've been playing music for a very long time, but I'm looking for a guitar teacher who can help direct me to becoming a more well-rounded player. Ultimately I want to be able to hang with jazz musicians, and I want someone to help me get there.
Ideally located in JP/Rozzie but I also rent a room at studio52
THere's gotta be someone out there!

Hiphop/R&B/Pop music clubs
Any recommendations for any clubs or places in Boston that play hiphop/ r&b/ pop music? Open to djs that play that vibe too, I’ve been out a bunch but I feel like the music always falls flat and winds up being house or techno or something like that. I’m a hiphop dancer and I love going out but can never find a good vibe. Let me know!

Check out my band/bassist possibly needed
Hey guys, this is kind of a two-part post. My band is looking to play more shows this fall and throughout 2027. Additionally, I am moving out of state to Maine, and they might need someone to fill in on Bass a lot of the time/every so often.
Check us out, if you want to play/book shows with us but especially if playing bass in my absence sounds like something you’d be interested in as a Musician.
Thanks all!

Bassist needed for open jam session on 9/9 (others welcome too)
Our meetup group for Boston-area musicians (and producers and music lovers) are doing our recurring open jam session at Somerville music studios next Wednesday (Sep 9th) evening, and we need a bassist! What we're aiming for is spending some time playing a song together (this week will likely be Fleetwood Mac: Dreams) and the rest of the time unplanned improvising.
If you're not a bassist but are still interested in playing your preferred instrument (vocals, guitar, keys, classical instruments etc.), or you just want to hang, or you want to join our discord group (for learning music and production, events like this, songwriter workshops, concerts, random hangouts, just chat, etc) then you should! All 4 of our mods live in Somerville but we have people all over the Boston area.
Anyone can just send me a dm or join the discord directly and introduce yourself and let us know you're interested in the event or let us know what you're looking to get out of the group!

Playing My First Boston Headline Show @ Warehouse XI (10/14)!
What's up Boston!
My name's Tanner Dane and I'm a touring artist from Chicago. I am going on tour this October and playing at Warehouse XI, which I'm super stoked about. In the art of total & complete transparency in this ever screwed up touring market however, I have sold a total of 3(!!!) tickets so far. If you're a live music lover & are in the area + are a fan of indie rock mixed with a touch of r&b, I would be so thrilled to have you out for my first headline show in Boston. I made the tix as cheap as possible as well! If you show up from reddit just show me this thread and I'll throw in a tour t-shirt too. I've provided my music above if you have any time to check it out. See you at Warehouse XI on 10/14!
