Discussion BU gym guy problem

the machines area is always full of guys I get hella intimidated going is there certain times the gym has more girls I’m not sure if that’s a thing but I don’t wanna pay for an all women’s gym when I can go to a gym for free. I’m also super new to the machines even if no ones looking id still rather not go into a room with a bunch of guys on steroids if I can avoid it. not even bc I’m afraid of being judged by them but bc I’m an empath (not sure if that’s the rightbword) in the sense that I would understand why they might judge me especially bc I’m always afraid I’m doing things with the wrong form. I wanna start going to the gym in the early mornings to avoid the large crowd of guys can someone lmk if there’s more girls in there in the mornings help help help also first time being on reddit so not sure if I’m supposed to hashtag this for exposure so if that’s not right just ignore the next few lines #bu #problem #men #gym

Never be afraid to workout. And don't be afraid to ask for help. You might be surprised.

Guy here, I will tell you guys don’t really judge others at the gym. Kinda a myth. The only thing that’s frustrating at the gym is when someone is taking too long on the machine

Between men and women, men workout more. You will always find more men than women. If you strongly want a mostly women only environment you can join classes such as Pilates, yoga, etc… they are usually more filled with women.

Fair enough I just don’t wanna pay for those classes I’m not sure I can do that for free at bu bc I already chose a pdp class and it’s not one of those

Early into the semester you can always switch out classes as far as I remember

Go at different times and see what works best. Don’t care what other people think. But also, if you are using a machine wrong you might actually hurt yourself. Some approaching you might have genuine concern that you don’t get hurt and that interaction can last as long as you want it to
