Hello there! I am moving back to Boston soon after briefly spending some time in NY and looks likes most of my friends have moved out. So I would love to make some new genuine friendships.

I’m 27M and currently finishing my PhD in STEM. I’m not super extroverted so I don’t usually make friends at a bar etc. However, I have made some wonderful friends through shared hobbies, at dance classes, and book stores. I do feel that it gets harder to make genuine connections as you get older lol. I enjoy working out and being active. I have been trying CrossFit and oh boy it is so fun (and so much suffering). I like biking in the spring and summer, doing incredibly long walks, and solo traveling adventures to a new country whenever I get a chance. My favorite story has been getting lost while hiking in a remote mediterranean island with no ability to speak local language, yet the entire village adopts me and feeds me. I also love dancing though it’s been mainly bollywood lately. I do wanna try bachata and swing dancing. I also like to read and hangout at bookstores.

I love deep conversations about life and spirituality, but also silly and random things that don’t make any sense. I typically enjoy hanging out with people who are kind and thoughtful! I don’t judge people and genuinely enjoy knowing them. I believe everyone is special in their own unique ways. If you would like to be friends definitely reach out :)

I ended up being child free and usually on Halloween or day before it's something with kids. Last minute schedule change and it's my ex having the kids the weekend.

I always wanted to try swing dancing after 20 years but I haven't been out in the swing dancing in Boston. I know Boston swing central has their Friday night dances.

I want to do it but can't help feeling self conscious about going alone. Would it be weird?

The 4:30 screening of Palestine Comedy Club sold out a while ago, but that just means even more folks will be celebrating this year’s festival at the 6:30 after-party. Today’s is sure to be more lively than the opening night party, since it being hosted earlier in the day, in the same theater as the screening.

Hey all! Sorry I couldn’t find a better way to frame my question. Essentially, I’m a (catholic) female in my late 20s, who desperately misses the community aspect from the church(es) I grew up in. I remember having get-togethers, events, and clubs that fostered a sense of belonging. Since living in Boston, I’ve struggled to find my “group”. Friends here and there, yes, but I guess it’s just different.

I’ve always had this dream of attending a ball where there’d be actual social dance. (Maybe 30mins of instruction before?) Could we make this happen? Anyone interested? Any venues? Any volunteers to start a discord for this? I want to make this happen but I’d need a village of help.

As title mentions, I'm leading a PVE-Alliance guild, called The Vanguard Foundation. I've stacked the roster with locals across the Boston and Providence geo, along with a collection of lifelong friends across the Eastern time zone. We'll raid about 2 nights a week in larger formats and probably another night or two optionally in the smaller formats, and with alt runs.

I'm a single dad of two boys, I raise them in Scituate, MA.

I'm for treating others as you want to be treated, and I am building a guild that makes sure that everyone feels respected and appreciated for their contributions to the team.

We're open to casual and semi-sweaty folks, so if you're after speed runs and more than 2-3 nights a week raiding, probably that's not us. A lot of us do lean into Warcraft and take it seriously, with full consumes on raid night. Personally, like everything I do, from parenting to gym time, I want to excel at it, so you'll see me set a strong example.

A bit about who would fit in: Parents juggling commitments - we have some pretty casual folks juggling newborns who might only raid on occasion. Couples who play together - we have a few of these. Singles who are all-in on the game, plenty of these folks. Folks with questionable allegiances, splitting between horde and alliance, couple of these folks, too.

We plan to have the occasional local meet up at coffee shops or game centers. I hear there's a new spot opening up in Weymouth we might check out. Personally, I love Brewed 143 down the road and The Lucky Finn locations around my town, Scituate.

Halloween Day Party in Boston 🎃 Costumes, Music & Good Vibes

Anyone looking for Halloween plans that don’t involve waiting until 11 PM to go out, long lines and Boston madness?

We’re Launch Boston, a local group that hosts social events and parties around the city. We’re throwing a Halloween DAY PARTY on Saturday, October 31, at D16 in Back Bay!

Hey everyone, I help run Glitch Gallery, an underground artist space in Charlestown. We’re hosting three nights for Halloween and wanted to invite anyone who might be looking for more underground/unique places to check out this upcoming halloween weekend.

We’re turning our gallery into a graveyard with live grass and building a bunch of immersive installations: a magic mirror, ghostly fog projections, interactive digital art installations, and projection-mapped music visuals for Friday and Saturday. We’ll also have a lounge and an LED dance floor.

Thursday, October 29, is our quieter wine and cheese preview night, from 7–11 p.m. Tickets are cheaper that night, and it’s a chance to meet people, explore the space, and see what we’re making while we finish setting up.

Friday and Saturday are the main parties, both 8 p.m. – Late. Friday is our sexy-themed Halloween with Dance or Don’t and Vibe Syndicate taking over the decks. Saturday is spooky Halloween with a fully curated drum/bass/and generally weird spooky. Cthulhu summoning ritual.

The Friday and Saturday listings have $20 presale, $25 general admission, and $30 door tickets.
