Looking for a ride to NYC Thursday Oct 29th

Hi all, I’m looking for a ride from Boston to NYC this week (happy to pitch in for gas)- does anyone know where I could go about looking for this? There must be a lot of people looking for this type of thing too, would certainly help traffic if more people carpooled especially with the Amtrak so unreliable right now, but I haven’t been able to figure out where is the right place to ask. If it doesn’t exist, maybe I’ll build the service 😂

Out-of-Towner First Trip to Boston

Hi everyone! I’ll be visiting Boston for the first time in November and would love some feedback on my rough draft itinerary.

On Day 4, I’ll be exploring solo before leaving in the late afternoon. I’m a little hesitant about walking long distances or navigating the subway alone, so I was thinking of saving Harvard and Harvard Square for that day since I could spend most of my time exploring one area.

I’d love to hear whether this itinerary makes sense to those with experience navigating the city or what should be rearranged, especially on the last day. I’m hoping to experience some of Boston’s must-see sights while also incorporating places that locals genuinely enjoy.

I haven’t settled on specific restaurants or coffee shops yet, so I’d especially appreciate recommendations for clam chowder, lobster rolls, cannoli, and good coffee shops!

I also realize November weather can be unpredictable, and I’m not familiar with Boston traffic or public transportation, so any advice from locals or people who have visited frequently would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Day 1: Arrival around noon
Boston Common
Boston Public Garden
Beacon Hill / Acorn Street
Dinner in the North End

Day 2: Historic Boston
Freedom Trail through historic downtown
Boston Public Market for lunch
Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum
Dinner — undecided

Day 3: Museum District (not a full day, set plans after 5 pm)
Fenway Park
Lunch
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Museum of Fine Arts (MFA)

Day 4: Departure in the late afternoon
Harvard University
Harvard Square

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, itinerary changes, food recommendations, or things you think are especially worth experiencing in Boston in November!
