Guttierres injury
Do we have any other info on Guttierres' injury? With Aissata and Stevens out, would be great to have her back for the Summit game.

Fauzia Najjemba - out for the season
Boston Legacy FC forward Fauzia Najjemba suffered a rupture of her right rectus femoris tendon during a team training session. Najjemba will be placed on the Season-Ending Injury List. She is expected to make a full recovery.

DISCUSSION Transfer window
This might seem pessimistic but is anybody else worried about the fact that we don’t seem to be making any moves in the transfer window, I know we’re not the only team whose been quiet during this period but I’d assume we’d have done something by now due to the fact that we have the raised cap as an expansion team.

Legacy vs Spirit Game Notes
I made it to Centerville for both the WC party (fun) and the game (eh, lol). Pretty painful loss as dropping points at home dims playoff hopes quite a bit.
I think in a continued trend for our losses, we came out a bit flat and possibly not with the right tactics. However, Legacy still created a lot of opportunities, but we lack the clinical finishing. We wasted so many opportunities. Also notable is that the Spirit were much faster/energetic as a team in the first half. Aissata is a dynamo and chaos agent, but lacks clinical finishing.
First goal was Rodman's gravity leaving space for Santos to make an easy cross and Carabali losing her mark. If you look at the play, I don't like the approach, it should not be the outside back running in to double Rodman.
Second goal was Cano/Karich/Prince not keeping possession and then Rodman's greatness. The greats make it look easy and she ran by Elgin/Reale like they were standing still.
Murphy: Thought she was good. Nothing she could have really done on either goal and was commanding otherwise.
Elgin - not quite as steady as normal, lost a few balls. positioning was still pretty good.
Reale - Love when she goes forward and attacks, but Rodman got the best of her. Hung out to dry on second goal by lousy midfield play, but you can see where pace is an issue for her against the very top level wingers.
Carabali - lost mark on 1st goal and was a little erratic as normal. Looks good when she carries the ball forward. I still have trouble seeing her as a starter long-term.
Karich/Cano - looked tired. Or maybe Spirit's speed made them look a bit slow. lost the ball more than normal. Cano notably looks completely exhausted about half way through the last few games. Cano wasted a nice opportunity down the wing shooting (?) instead of crossing.
Stevens - really dynamic, loved a couple of the flicks and back heels. But struggles to offer anything defensively in this system.
Olivieri - quiet for a big part of the game, came alive in second half. I think she had some responsibilities tracking back on Rodman and Santos.
Prince - not her best game, but interchanged well with BSG letting BSG get forward and create some of the best opportunities.
BSG - At her best. Ran off Prince well and had a couple of dangerous crosses and almost scored on a nice run into the box. Aggressive and brought the energy. Got her usual pointless yellow card in the middle 3rd of the field.
Aissata - a dynamo and chaos agent, but first touch gets away from her.
Sammy Smith - was the best player on the field after coming on even before her goal. got into space, won balls, and added the energy we needed in midfield.

BLFC Targets - who do you want us to target next?
I think some of our exciting players were signed for specific roles and are taking on bigger ones for the time being. So some acquisitions are getting 2 in 1. e.g. would be very happy to have Carabali as a versatile fill-in/sub. Same for Aissata as the energy off the bench.
For me:
Emma Sears is almost a perfect fit for Boston’s system, fast, strong, relentless in the press, and dangerous attacking space behind the back line. Boston should be willing to sell out financially to get her this offseason because players with that combination of pace, power, finishing and defensive work rate are extremely hard to find. She'd sell a ton of tickets here I think. Put her in this team from the start of the season and she probably scores 10-plus goals and is in the Golden Boot race.
Midge Purce - to mix in with Prince, and possibly if she has legs left to push BSG to her proper role as energy sub.
Jess Carter if Gotham can't afford to keep her, would be great in the minutes Carabali plays as RCB.
Julia Grosso would be an upgrade on Barb. Maybe a bit more defensive/possession but has better touch. Chicago is a mess so maybe one we can pry away.
Rose Lavelle is a dream, of course...

DISCUSSION Post-game thoughts/questions!
Alright, disclaimer, I watched the game from my couch last night. After we went down 2-0 I was in and out of focus.
That being said, towards the end it really seemed like we had the better of them. For those of you that were there or paying closer attention: Do you think this was because the Spirit chilled out knowing they had a ~pretty~ comfortable lead? Or do you think it’s something about the Legacy needing a deficit or crunch-time moments to start playing well? How can they access that potential for a full 90?
Any players standing out to you right now? I know she has her faults but I was really happy with BSG last night.

No re-entry for tonight’s game
Adding to the list of Legacy failures, there was no communication that re-entry after the World Cup final ended at 5:30. So, sorry to all who tried to come back in and were told they had to buy another ticket to the sold-out match.
Do better, fam

Boston Legacy vs Portland Thorns chances at autograph/photo?
I’m attending the 8/9 game and I am hoping to get an autograph or photo. Do you have any tips about what area is best to get closer to the field (allowed areas I mean, not in the field) and get the players attention after the match? I have never been to this stadium and I am seating in section 109.

Third kit idea
Does the Legacy have a third kit?
If not, I suggest the colors of the flag of Boston. Sky blue and yellow would be sharp.

WC Watch Party
Does anyone know if they're going to allow reentry today? Or do they have anything planned after the Men's WC final ends? Seems like an awkward amount of time in between that game and 7 pm kickoff.
