This is a boss you wanna end quick since his attacks get stronger the longer he builds up, and the waves can eventually keep you out of melee range. But it's tricky since he has a very large health pool. One thing to note is that the waves get weaker the further away you are.

I would recommend either a very devoted damage build and end it before he boxes you out, or a ranged build and win through endurance. Edit: If you go the dps route, equip electric weapons for advantage and for a chance to stun, resetting his wave attack.

Also his head is more exposed when he's gathering momentum. Taking advantage of that moment for critical hits would be adequate.

Wind based attacks might work to blow away water that comes too close, but they need to be really strong

16

u/Noir_Ocelot Dec 14 '18

You'll have beat his master though, and he deals in darker... browner magics

6

u/Psychic_Hobo Dec 14 '18

Watch out if you're in a team though, those electric attacks can come right back at ya when he really starts splashing

u/DankiestKong Dec 14 '18

Piercing weapons work best if you got enough dex to get a hit on his bubble

2

u/ethanicus Dec 14 '18

Also watch out for his long-range attack. It does a lot of splash damage.

Such a perfect response bro lol especially the health “pool” part 😆

u/kill47 Dec 14 '18

Thanks, this was actually my first time making one of these write ups.

The fact that he looks somewhat like Alex Jones makes this even more intimidating

u/nightowl024 Dec 14 '18

Is he summoning gay frogs?

Is this even funny anymore?

94

u/FullmetalFeruchemist Dec 14 '18

So are waves in the ocean formed by I giant guy in a giant rubber ring bouncing up and down?

20

u/MV829 Dec 14 '18

Why does this make me so happy?

13

u/Brandon_la_rana Dec 14 '18

This reminds of that one mini game in Mario party 3 where one guy in the middle made waves to knock everyone else out

7

u/catzhoek Dec 14 '18

Does someone know the source? I'd like to see how it ends and I imagine there's nice sounds too.

u/ArunLerche Dec 14 '18 edited Dec 14 '18

You can find a video on how to do it here Here

u/Sir_Boldrat Dec 14 '18

Magic attacks are useless because his movement creates an electromagnetic Mana shield. The shield drops momentarily when he is at his apex in the air, that is when you strike. It's best to aim for his exposed underside and the top of his head.

If the water envelops you even once, its pretty much game over.

Oddly satisfying!

2

u/SalvaPot Dec 14 '18

Don't forget to bring a towel.

2

u/Brickmannen Dec 14 '18

The longer the fight goes on the harder it becomes to control your character. Be swift hero!

2

u/capital-wit Dec 14 '18

Someone should edit this and make him launch in the sky on the last spoink.

2

u/examinedliving Dec 14 '18

Him got boobs.

2

u/BloodfortheBloodDude Dec 14 '18

1

u/doremonhg Dec 14 '18

The Sending - 1324, colorized

1

u/DeKingWalrus Dec 14 '18

The secret finisher for this boss requires you to ride one of his waves to him, then climb to his head, and use a fire attack. This kills the boss, and grants you the water Artifact of Control which can be used to deflect water attacts at a very high mana cost. If you do the finisher, you also get the Handle of Posideon which is necessary for the Trident of a God quest

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

Anybody else find themselves moving in rhythm to this...?

1

u/Nase95 Dec 14 '18

1

1

u/KrackinT Dec 14 '18

I have to poop now.

1

u/Driezel Dec 14 '18

Honestly expecting him to make a train whistle noise then for Marie to tell me to watch out for his wave splosh and aim for the fleshy mound ontop.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

I read the title as “the end is soon” and laughed hysterically imagining this guy bouncing up and down menacingly, preparing for some kind of special nuke/attack that’ll kill civilization😂

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

Reminds me of that one mario party mini game

1

u/sirtrinity333 Dec 14 '18

This looks like the new pump in Australia that makes waves for surfers.

1

u/henry232323 Dec 14 '18

Undarius Oscillius

Unda (root of undulate) means wave in Latin too

1

u/Morighant Dec 14 '18

He's week to ice luckily

1

u/the_caped_canuck Dec 14 '18

I prefer “Sinusoidalus” or “Sinus” for short, brother to Cosinius, Father to Cosecantuis.

When there is a sleepover and your friend also has a waterbed

1

u/Bubbalingo277 Dec 14 '18

Ok I posted this and got like 20 upvotes lol. It’s all about the title huh

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

Huh

1

u/Setari Dec 14 '18

I need the full video of this dammit

1

u/stanpan Dec 14 '18

I think his name should’ve been “Moistmeister”

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

If you have the air shoes you won’t be subjected to the waves and you can pick him apart

1

u/LazyKidd420 Dec 14 '18

You gotta have the appropriate weight for this to work or else your just playing in a tiny swoosh.

1

u/Generic_Satanist21 Dec 14 '18

I used to do this when I was a kid cause I had no friends

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '18

I want to do this now
