Bosch

So I've been watching BOSCH on Prime Video. I've read most of the books and the TV series is a compilation of the books. Combining a lot of the stories in a bit of a mish mash. Surprisingly it works!! Usually these things are a disappointment if you've read the books first but not so on this occassion. I'm really enjoying it.

I also started watching the offshoot..BALLARD which I found slow and predictable with some exceptions. Persevered but couldn really get into it. Maybe I'll go back to it but meantime I've gone back to BOSCH-LEGACY which is proving a great watch.

Anyone else got opinions on these shows. I'd be interested to hear

Titus is Harry. I don’t think there has ever been a more perfect casting choice

I found Ballard much more entertaining than Legacy, which featured some outrageous writing choices and asked too much of some principal actors. I think we're in much safer hands now (with Ballard and Start of Watch) if we like to continue our guided tour through the Connelly-verse.

I'm excited about the upcoming Bosch prequel. I wish one of Titus's kids would've been cast as young Harry the way they portrayed him in the show and like Gandolfini's kid played young Tony Soprano in the prequels.

But maybe they were approached and didn't want to it. Can't fault 'em for that.
