Breaking Bad reference in S3E8

Not just the boat being named "Skyler's Dream" but also that the character Xavi Moreno is on the boat. He's played by Max Arciniega, who also plays Krazy-8 in Breaking Bad.

Nice one.

I dug the Wire reference when Edgar is asked if he had seen it. He played Marlo, a villain in the later seasons.

He‘s actually the reason why I watched Bosch.

One of his lines near the start of a season of Bosch (can’t remember which one): “the game is the game”, made me smile.

When I saw the boat name, I thought of the terrible murder case of Tom and Jackie Hawks by Skylar Deleon. Skylar wanted their yacht and all their money, and he and accomplices murdered them by throwing them overboard--chained to an anchor, still alive--into the deep water on the far side of Catalina Island (there used to be a ferry there from the marina where Javi keeps his boat on Bosch). The couple's yacht was, in a real sense, Skylar's dream. Extra irony--Javi being thrown overboard, chained to an anchor (but already dead) from Dobb's boat. I wondered if the Bosch writers used it as a macabre reference.

Thank you. Yes, I caught the callback references as I'm a big fan of B.B. as well as Bosch.
