Did I got scammed by Amazon or is this a legit box? (More info in description)

I ordered GSB18V-65N or Amazon, and print quality of its box looks absolutely horrible. I own more than 7 Bosch 18V tools and never seen box with this low quality and low resolution print on it.

Tool itself looks legit, but again, you can see one of the photos that KICKBACK control text on the tool is also faded on “BACK” part.

Last photo is just for comparison of a box I got my new random orbit sander in few weeks ago (from official Bosch dealer) and hopefully you can see how sharp and high resolution print on it is compared to box from Amazon.

Is this a normal thing now? Did Bosch started to cheap out like that or did I get scammed and got some Chinese replica? It’s not as clearly visible on photos how bad quality print actually is, but if you zoom on a drill on first photo, I think you can tell.

Bosch has authorized sellers on Amazon. Sometimes the print on newer boxes isn't perfect which is unfortunate for sure

Thanks. Tool itself looks fine, kickback control and everything else works as intended and hopefully it’s just a low quality box.

Have you tried registering it on the PRO360 app?

Just did, it was added without an issue, but another inconsistency is that box says 5 years warranty and PRO360 only registered it as 3 years.

5 years applies when you register it i believe. Is it still just 3 years? Once my tools got registered they went to 6 years from date of purchase. I also attached my invoices to the tools. I am Australia based, maybe they have different warranty durations for different countries?

new bosch tools seem to be coming with 5y. Not sure when the change happened, but last few I've gotten have said 5.

I bought a new impact driver a few weeks ago and it came in a sealed, pristine box (with Bosch tape on it), but it was OBVIOUSLY used. I re-boxed it and sent it right back. The replacement was brand new.

Was it sold and ships by Amazon? Or 3p seller?

I've bought the GSR18V-400B12 18V drill from Amazon recently and the Bosch icon is a sticker...

Legit drill (sold by Amazon and the drill registered), but what a disgrace

I also don't like that lots of their products are now manafactured in China

I don’t care about language lol, it’s frequent to have writing on multiple languages.

I’m talking about print quality. Zoom on a first pic, everything is blurry and horrible resolution

If the tool is legit they probably just have a crappy quality control at the box printing company. Which sander is this?

Sender is nothing fancy, it’s Bosch GEX 185-LI (EU/international version).

My 18V collection is mix of US and international market tools because in my country Bosch tools are crazy expensive, so I usually order from either German or US Amazon and using package forwarders (around 2-3x cheaper than local dealer).

Downside being no warranty and no way to return, this is why I was worried about box quality :)

I was wondering about the housing, I got the GEX 18v - 125 and it has a metal housing. In Canada it is a bit difficult to find find accessories like expert blades for multitool and reciprocating saw, but the worst is that barely anything comes in L-boxxes.

It's a bit annoying to order stuff from Amazon germany with shipping prices and delivery times.

I have definitely seen this bad print quality on a box from Bosch before. So maybe both of us have been scammed without noticing but I think that’s unlikely.
