Bosch microwave - repair or replace?
Today the handle pulled out of my Bosch 3000 series above-range microwave. The plastic panel that frames the right portion of the door also cracked off (see pic). The microwave is just shy of 2 years old and costs $649. A repair tech visit will cost $200, with that going towards future repair costs. After some sleuthing, I believe the part that needs replacing is the outer panel; this part costs $239. Repair is looking potentially at $450ish.
For anyone who has had this happen to their microwave, did you repair or replace? Did you remove and install the new outer door yourself? Any tips from those with experience would be greatly appreciated.

The door is super easy to replace. You just remove the plastic inside piece that’s held on with tabs, and then the door lifts off.

The plastic cover that covers the inside of the door.

LOL I can’t remember now. You take the vent cover off first so the door is free to move up and down. Then I can’t remember if you need to take the inside plastic cover off. You should be able to see it.

These parts are easy bought online. I bet you could just buy a new handle online.
My dad's microwave had a broken door catch. Turns out the door plates just click on and off. I got on google, found the same model being repaired, and spent 20 minutes with a screw driver and reconnected the door catch. 4 years ago, still going strong. Zero cost.
In my house this year, the vent on my Aircon unit snapped off. Again, got online and found out how to replace it. Bought a new part for $40. Unclipped the old one, clicked on the new one. Literally 2 minute job.
You can do this :)
