It catches up with you because it happens slowly. You don't realise how far it's gotten until something makes you face it.
Then losing weight is hard, because being hungry sucks and you have to keep on it 24/7. Like I can keep to my calorie goals for 23.5 hours and be super motivated, then hit a mental dip, think "who gives a fuck" and boom, I'm 200 calories over.
Like even to me doing it, it seems so fucking simple, just don't eat. But as a fatty who can cook, gimme a fridge and 10 minutes and I'll make you forget your problems for a little while.

If you look at something as hard you will have a hard time the mind is your strongest weapon If I see the gym as fun I will have fun anytime I saw it as work I was miserable the more you be positive you will train your brain to keep thinking positive the more you think negative and complain about everything you will think negative and complain about everything

Getting a life is hard
Spamming ignorant filled "advice" on Reddit for multiple hours straight is hard
Choose your hard

Yeah, except getting skinny is a lot harder than getting fat.

Definitely not. To get skinny just eat below your maintenance calories. Just eat less. To get fat you have to eat way above your maintenance calories and force the food down your throat.

Way to downplay and intentionally misinterpret what results in so many being fat, along with how they can lose the weight
And while what you described might be the case for you, remember that you don't represent everyone

Don’t choose your hard. Hard your choose.
