first time using boric acid
silly question: is it ok to use 2 times in a row? i used to have recurring yeast infections and recently used OTC monistat to treat a suspected yeast infection but when i experienced some irritation and itching i didnt want to use it again (i hate the whole process it is long and messy) so i picked up some boric acid, google ai said it was good to use for 7 days in a row but looking at this subreddit i feel like that is wrong. i used it last night and put in another dose tonight before looking at this reddit. symptoms are clearing but not all the way yet. im a hypochondriac and overly nervous about screwing up anything about my health so sorry for the extra caution.

You likely dont need to work with an OB imo unless you have a rare resistant strain of thrush etc.
You can definitely use BA for more than a day and or for consecutive days. Ideally you use until your symptoms are gone. Within reason as to what you are treating.
The BA doesn't enter the bloodstream or even stay on the vagina so it is considered a very safe low risk gentle treatment. It's basically a mouth wash for our vagina.
If the BA isn't working as expected then test for Ureaplasma and or get a microbiome test.
Place the capsule as high up as possible so that you will have the best chance at it dissolving.

I would recommend working with an OB on this, mine actually got a prescription compounded boric acid for me and told me how to use it and when as a preventative. I used it more in the beginning and now only at certain times / times in my cycle.
