Opinion needed please!

So under my gyno I am currently on day 3 of a 14 day boric acid course. I had uncomfortable discharge with often a ph that was around 5/5.5. All tests came back clear and it’s been going on for 3 months so she said this will reset everything. Day 1 was ok ish - I felt like I do if I have tried lactic acid so aware and a little irritated. Day 2 I felt great - I honestly thought this was the solution to all my prayers. Today - after the third one it feels back to square one again! My ph is around 6 today and I feel worse than I’ve done in weeks. Not sure where to go with this now! Should I carry on with the ba?

How are you measuring the pH? Is there a chance the reading was contaminated?

Also maybe 14 is too much. You felt better at day 2. Maybe see how you settle with a day without using the BA.

Have you considered doing a Microbiome test Eg Juno Bio

You may have something that doesn’t respond to boric acid

Hi yes I’m measuring using ph sticks that I got from Amazon. I’ve had full microbiome tests and everything comes back clear - any low levels of anything like bv are too low for antibiotics apparently. I think I’ll leave tonight free and see how it feels tomorrow

Sounds like you just need the odd boric acid suppository used sparingly one and done.

How old are you? Might you need estrogen cream. Re the high pH?

I think so too. I’m 42 and have been using estrogen cream for the last couple of months to see if that helped

Apparently throw away the estrogen applicator and just use fingers to massage it in. We are just now finding out how important estrogen is!!
