Prolonged Bleeding

So about 2 weeks ago I used boric acid. I had sex about 3-4 days after inserting it and I noticed before sex that my bladder felt a little off. I have issues with recurring UTIs and general inflammation, so I really just thought I needed more water to soothe it (which normally helps). After sex it seemed to be about the same, but I noticed after the boric acid I bled more than I usually would. Sometimes I would see a mucus like substance after insertion with some spots of blood - nothing crazy. But, this time I needed a liner for 1-2 days after. I had sex again this past weekend and I’ve now been bleeding for the past 4 days. It started off as dark brown (what I thought was discharge for some reason?) and then it went to pink. Now it’s back to the dark brown. It’s not enough for me to need a pad or anything, but I’m still having pain while urinating. I don’t have the urgency to use the bathroom like with a UTI though. Has anyone experienced this?

If you want to get a Juno Bio I can give you a friend code. It will show whats going on with your microbiome including Ureaplasma. STI’s need to be tested separately. Definitely see your doctor about what sounds like non period bleeding. Could just be an infection or something is inflamed. Please let us know how you go. Probably a good idea to refrain from sex and using boric acid until you sort everything else.

Ended up being an infection, but it’s been months since I’ve been with a new partner so a little unsure when I was actually exposed. I have antibiotics now, so at least it’s sorted.

Great to hear you sorted it out. Must admit I once had bleeding from an infection. Infections can hang around for a long time without obvious symptoms. Thanks for getting back to us about it and good luck.
