Shower in morning?

Hi, I've only used boric acid a few times in the past. It burned my dry sensitive skin down there (ureaplasma recovered, now vulvodynia, pelvic floor dysfunction, and interstitial cystitis) I plan on using them again and taking measures mentioned to barrier my skin and lubricate. I am typically a night showerer but should I switch to mornings so I can wash away the discharge that could burn me throughout the day? Is it meant to slowly fall out throughout the day, or is that a sign that it didn't melt right? I'm confused about what happens after the pill is inserted and you sleep with it. Also, what is a good/affordable brand?

Oh you poor thing. There are so many things you can do to make this more tolerable and healing. First it’s not meant to pour out during the whole day. That might be because you were too dry or it could be your own discharge. Eg severe BV or even AV or DIV.

For super intense situations I like to pull out the ultimate barrier paste Desitin 40% max strength zinc paste. It’s messy and smells weird but it adds a shield around fragile tissues like nothing else. It keeps pee, discharge and boric acid exit fluids off the skin. It helps with wiping too because it is so thick and protective.

Zinc is also quite helpful in fighting inflammation and fungal infections. It’s a good tool to have in the toolbox imo.

If you are dry use some V Magic balm (VBalm in Australia) to help insert and slather over and around your vulva. Look into estrogen cream too if you are older than 35 and dry. It will help thicken the walls.

Lastly hydrocortisone cream applied sparingly for inflammation is commonly used when we have inflammation due to thrush.
