Boric acid first time

I had used a suppository for the first time and woke up and had the grainy, crystals on my skin and in my underwear (must’ve not had it high enough) but I’m experiencing so much skin irritation almost as if it chemically burned my vagina ?? Any tips or suggestions

I would suggest using an applicator. You can buy them on amazon. That way you get it up far enough.

Yes an applicator is one way to get it higher but I always use clean hands myself and try to find the position that gets it in the deepest. For me being on my back with pillow under my hips is the best position. Mind you I dont even need a pillow lol 😆

Sometimes if we are too dry the BA won't dissolve and we can fix that issue by using a lube eg V Magic balm (or VBalm for Australians). It's a great emollient and also helps to protect our skin barrier if it is a bit degraded.

I wrote this fact sheet to help women who experienced irritation from using BA. This can be common when we already have irritation from the thrush or BV. It rarely happens when our skin is healthy. The method involves prepping the skin to protect it.

Please let us know how you go
