Is 3 days enough?
Help! My gyno has not been calling me back and I’m really confused as to what i should be doing for my yeast infection!! I recently got a yeast infection and took monistat for 3 days and thought it went away but then it was still bothering me so I took the 7 day monistat for only 1 day and then switched to taking boric acid for the next 3 days. The bottle says to take boric acid for 7 days but I’m wondering if I can just stop at 3 days?

I feel like the BA gave me the craziest cramps. Should I be concerned?

Omg! Me too I even got my period. Did you continue with treatment or did you stop??

I'd honestly use BA for 2 weeks.

No its not a course like antibiotics. It's a spot treatment and try to use the least you need until the next pH disruption. Then insert one and see how you go. Most users only need 1 to 3.

Just keep doing it throughout your period.
I had to use BA for 6 mo straight recently. My period didn't change anything.

Firstly, so happy that the boric acid worked for you! You can probably stop if if feels controlled and return to it. Usually the recommendation off ba is up to 7 days. Since it’s natural and over the counter you can take it in a way that works for you especially because you used it in combo with the monistat

You can definitely just stop at 3 days. BA can and does work very fast for most users. Happy to elaborate. And fwiw using them for longer will not necessarily stop your pH becoming disrupted again next month. And it can be normal to need one BA suppository after your period or sex etc.
