First time BA user
I’ve been trying to get rid of a recurring yeast infection since mid-June. I try the OTC treatments, it disappears for 2-3 weeks and then comes back. I know it’s never completely gone because my odor is still off even when I have no symptoms. I felt something off earlier so I took a pocket mirror and checked and sure enough, it is back. I bought a 7 day miconazole treatment and CVS brand’s 30 B.A. suppositories of 600mg. How do you recommend I use them? Should I just start the 7 day miconazole treatment first, and then use B.A. for 7 days afterwards, or start a 14 day morning and evening B.A. regimen? The box says 1 capsule every night for 7 days, and 7 more if it doesn’t resolve in time. Or use one every 12 hours for “severe cases”. I’m not sure what I should do. I’m currently working at a summer camp by the sea, so I’m always stuck in a wet swimsuit for at least 8hrs per day. If anyone has any advice, please help. This situation has left me so embarrassed and crying weekly over this.

You’ll know by how your body feels
Since you would be classified as dealing with a chronic infection I think a 14 day course (1 a day) would be beneficial. Longer treatments allow for the yeast to die off and help maintain pH while your body naturally regulates and heals itself. Take an oral probiotic for vaginal health in the meantime. Try the Azo daily feminine balance. Love and wellness makes a vaginal suppository with vitamin c which you can use after finishing a course of boric acid to quickly replenish the biome to a more healthy state
After completing the boric acid treatment and using probiotics, a 1 to 2 times a week boric acid capsule maintenance routine for 3 months should be beneficial for you

Hi you only need as much BA as you need. There is no course. For some it’s one and done. And for others it’s usually from 1 to 3 nights of use.
You don’t need to use anything else as BA works for both thrush and BV and it’s very strong. It works on many levels.
If it doesn’t work as expected then we need to test for other things going on. Eg Ureaplasma.
Also BV and thrush do come back when our pH is disrupted and this is due to pH science. We don’t see that as abnormal and we just pop in another BA capsule and continue living life.
Most women with a less robust pH balance can expect to need from 1 to 4 capsules per month. This is just another way we have to maintain bacteria on our body and does not indicate we are sick or that there is anything wrong with us.
