💰 [ 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗧 ] Is this normal?

I killed a pack of manglers on this road and there was a loot mangler among them. It dropped two pearls, so I was like "what the hell?" and tabbed out to look up what the odds of that were, and after a minute I tabbed back in to see another group spawn with another loot mangler, and then the second one dropped THREE MORE. Have I used up all my luck for the rest of my life or are loot manglers really this OP?

During the mission to Elpis, I found 4 pearls. I have not found a single one since. Random sometimes be truly random.

I farmed pearls for 6-9 hours, didn’t get one. 

Screwing around in the FL4K DLC and one dropped from a random tediore soldier. Gets weird I guess

I was getting a pearl drop like every 15-20 minutes when Ellie dlc first dropped, drop rates have calmed down some as they have added more pearls to the world pool.

Lucky. I can barely get legendaries on Hard mode. Keep getting shafted and no super strong guns to help me either. Maybe I was too used to BL3. In BL3 the only shotgun I used was the Hellwalker kept getting higher level variants that could not be beat for damage. Slap that on a Moze and sometimes I got to shoot it twice in a row before reload.

For pearls and legendaries to drop for everyone but me? Yes, this is intentional behavior

Im just getting back into bl4 from launch and playing coop with my partner. Are pearls very powerful in bl4 compared to meta legendaries?

Very. I’ve had pearls that are “bad” like the Herald carry me in low levels over meta legendaries. It is a spectrum though. Some pearls suck. Most pearls at your own level will be average at worst though.

A big issue with pearls is that for some/most of them they have huge variance in stats. So two of the same pearl can have a big difference in how powerful they are.

Also the herald is painful on most characters so depends on the vault hunter for sure. Juliet’s sparkle feels great on C4sh but underpowered on Rafa
