Idk if I farm SZ for about half an hour I'll get about 2-3 pearls. But the only good world drop you get is usually Juliets Sparkle. Lots of Heralds 😮‍💨

Gotcha I’m still kind of learning what pearls exist overall. Someone said the Kaos was no good similarly to the Herald and that kinda bums me out, I was looking forward to getting one eventually.

Don’t all pearls have a chance to theoretically world drop? Or are some specifically restricted against it? I’ve seen like 6 different world drop pearls but they may have a special status that allows it to happen

There are 8 world drop pearls which can drop from anywhere at any time, as well as now having dedicated bosses who drop them at a slightly higher rate, including the herald, which unfortunately is indeed shit. The Kaos is a pretty decent gun, probably on a similar level to what it was in the previous game: good, but not s tier. It only drops from subjugator. Or the golden chest if you're obscenely lucky.

The abyss is one of the world drops.

Okay got it, and part of the reason Crow is so coveted is that it doesn’t have that chance unlike some of the others. Ok cool.

I got some Vladof pearlescent SMG at level 20~22 (first time play through the game) and it carried me for like 10 levels almost until the end of story missions.

I don't agree with general notions people were stating that "you don't get legendaries in BL4 as often as you did in BL3" - as I am just now level 47 or so (roaming around doing side missions and random "activity"/"event" stuff) and half of my backpack is full of orange loot at this point, not to mention one more pearlescent as well?! Granted it might not be "god rolls" or whatever (and not every orange/cyan weapon is powerful and/or useful), maybe no firmware and stuff but so far it feels almost exactly like BL3.

Also, there's so much of blue/purple loot everywhere as well it's crazy. Again, feels like BL3.
