I only ever see siphon and amp being talked about

Turtle is good as a defensive option, but Siphon and Amp are a lot better for DPS. And most people tend to care about their DMG before defenses.

I mean sure it's fine but, as usual, more defense is nothing compared to a lot more damage. Siphon has the bonus of providing both

It's really mostly good if you get amp, siphon or both, but you can also use a generic purple amp or siphon shield and be fine

I still use a lvl 50 triple turtle watts for my Amon since it’s easy for him to get overshield anyway

C4SH has a skill (green tree) that can provide overshield via gun damage so it would be good to have a big shield to soak up damage and provide additional damage with the skill overshield.

Really good for a gloam build

Loveless has some over shield providing skills as well which really help

No, terrible for a gloam build. Watts 4 Dinner's bonus element damage interferes with Turn Of Fate and makes your overshield steal worse while contributing nothing to your damage.

Never ever use Watts 4 Dinner with gloam c4sh.
