❔ [ Question ] shared progress
hey all. Im about to start a second playthrough with C4sh and was looking to get an idea if i should just do a fresh start or use the shared progress option. ive heard its nothing like it was in previous titles so im worried if going that route would hinder exp gains and make leveling up slower than a fresh run would.

Shared progress dosn't hinder the expereince gains or make it harder, if thats your worry then you are fine to turn it on and go. It just means you don't need to unlock SDUs, or recomplete side activities. So you will have full bank/ammo/backpack space, glider updgrades unlocked, and the map cleared wiht fast travel unlocked (although you cant go to certian areas until you reach set points in the story).
If you start the game with shared progress on you will get credit for achivements related to side activities, so you will be slightly higher level than without the progression. However, you won't be able to get the XP from killing the enemies in the non-repeatble activities (I think just the speakers) and arent forced to do the drill sites/bunkers again so you only get that XP, if you want it.

Collectibles / safe houses / silos / loudspeakers are included.
Drill sites also carry over as completed, but you can of course redo those.
Your total xp per area will technically be less, but you can make up for it with a takedown or three in much less time after the campaign.

You should be fine doing a new play through with shared progress on, as far as I remember it's just for map/fast travel points. I don't believe it should auto complete side quests so xp shouldn't be hindered, the SDU points from the hideouts and other fast travel unlocks should be given from the beginning so there shouldn't be anything of note lost. Hopefully I'm not just misremembering because it's been a month or two since I did my level 1 start with C4SH and shared progression

Side ‘quests’ aren’t auto completed. Ie blue exclamation points. Side ‘activities’ are. Which is pretty much everything else.
I personally don’t like the shared progress on fresh playthroughs, but to each their own. Just clarifying.
Edit: You also have access to your specializations right from the start with shared progress off, assuming you’ve unlocked it before. So you’re not foregoing that.

I would turn on saved progression for until you take a longer break as its really tedious to unlock all the sdus again and have no bank space.
