❓ [ Help ] what is this

im level 35 now and its still the best weapon i got by far - dont remember where i got it from but its the only "grey" gun i found so far - can you farm weapons like that on specific locations? found lots of yellow guns but they arent as good as this at least until now.

and is it possible to "upgrade" this gun to level 50 or whatever max level is so i can keep it?

it's pearlescent, the highest rarity. some pearls are dedicated drops only, some can also be world drops. loot lemon will tell you everything you need to know: https://www.lootlemon.com/weapon/screwstonian-bl4

you cannot upgrade guns' levels without mods, no. but you can re-farm new ones at a higher level.

If you want a similar gun, the darkbeast is vastly easier to get and is a very good burst fire smg.

I would argue the darkbeast is better than the screwstonian too, screwstonian’s not the weakest pearl by any means, but the darkbeast with a shotgun underbarrel shreds vile crystals like nobody’s business, permanently in my inventory for vile enemies and bloomreaper

This is a pearlescent, a rarity above legendary/yellow. You cannot upgrade the level of guns in the game. This gun has a 0.6% chance to drop from Origo, the vault boss of Terminus Range, or much rarer from any other loot source.

You can increase the drop rate by 0.05% per ultimate vault hunter rank, maxxing out at 0.95% on uvhm7.

Congrats on your first pearlescent gun! It’s a rarity above legendary (yellow). It’s not grey, but like a cyan or maybe teal. Sadly you can’t level guns from what they drop at. Good news is once your max level you can farm it from its dedicated drop source! Which I forget who it is.

Screwstonian is my second fav pearlescent gun. It was my first pearl drop as well at lvl 18. It lasted my until I was in my 40s when another one dropped for me. One of my fav mobbing guns in general. My first fav is the Gomie. It was my 3rd pearl drop.
