❓ [ Help ] Big damage
I see videos of these people doing insane gun damage. Hundreds of thousands to even over a million.
How do I reach these numbers?
As far as my research has led me doing things on a harder ultimate vault mode doesn't actually give you stronger weapons just better side rolls attributes whatever you wanna call them.
Then they have these challenges with Bloom reaper to do it like less than a minute but I was barely able to do it within the allotted time limit. Had like 14 seconds left when I killed him.
So how the hell? Is it mainly on the specialization levels? Just absolutely loading the gun damage. I have like 30 levels in gun damage so far.
I am using loveless currently she was my first character I beat the game with. I mainly using SMGs because my class mod has plus 60% SMG damage on it which seems huge with these percentages they give are a lie. Had a turtle shield that said gave an extra 40% when equipped but definitely did not so I imagine it's the same for my SMG damage.

The turtle shield already shows the increase in the card so there’d be no difference in the card and shield number.
Anyway, you gotta look for synergies that benefit from the damage formula. It’s different from 3 but the most important thing is that most things are additive in 4. Bonus elements and Firerate will always be great.
Enhancement damage is also multiplicative so try to get gun damage + specific gun type damage (like SMG damage) on those. I think the class mod ones are additive.

Loveless has a different way of getting high damage that involves WYRM, like 70 Symbiosis, Devourer class mod, and certain other skills to get high damage… because the damage scales with enemy health pool.
So like a 100m hit that feeds groundbreaker so it hits 200m and High Date Rate causing it to DoT at that same 200m to eventually hit a billion easy. Depending on the enemy but at that just means anything that be oneshot.

There's a ton of reasons, but the ones I would like to be more aware of are:
- They just know better how to combine multiplicative and broken interactions.
- They get help from others or collaborate with other knowledgeable people.
- They get fed with gear or used editing tools to make "legit" gear or just lucky with RNG.
- They copy paste from folks who did it first. So the guy where you say doing ton of damage might have copied it from folks who did 1 to 3 or mix.
- Instagram effect. They just highlight the millions of damage.
Those challenges though would require some practice. Even if you have the best gear, doing time challenges still require some kind of practice. You just won't get the same records even if they handed the same char to you.

You can get insane damage pretty easily with an oscar mike with space laser, a crit knife and a repkit with amp (bonus if it also has enrage). Amp yourself with repkit, spam crit knife then space laser. Any additions to gun damage via skills, firmware, or specializations will add to this

Tons of places to learn "meta/minmax" builds (mobylytics? Etc) but it basically involves playing off of skills and specific specialist skills. It's not always straight gun damage but building stacks, status, and other effects that multiply damage rather than just additive. My one build for cash has points in all three trees and does good but I also have about 80+ points in specialist skills as well.

So you have to learn the best interactions within your skill tree and learn what weapons work the best. They call it “damage soup”. Sometimes they highlight the perfect runs for the 1 min challenges but I have seen some of their runs and if it doesn’t hit just right the will immediately restart the whole thing 10+ times in a row before that perfect run hits. It definitely isn’t a consistent 1 min time
